The song I really want to download most comes right at the start of the game from right before Chaos launches es asher to fight in the skies above miltia, but everyone who tries to upload that song gets it blocked worldwide and is not able to view it. :(
Defiantly sounds a lot like the music from Dragon Saber and Under Defeat. Both are also composed by Shinji Hosoe.
Not really digging this one. Like you said, it's pretty discordant, but it doesn't really come together for me.

This whole soundtrack is really good.
Just finished the series again a few days ago, actually. It really is a shame that II's combat was so abysmal, because the plot, characters (except for you, Shion), and music were all phenomenal. Still one of my favourite series to date, here's hoping for an HD remake!
What annoyed me most in XS2 combat system was the dubious/hidden stats, and the lack of equipment, which if I'm not mistaken pretty much keeps the same base damage over game, no? Besides, the combo system was beyond terrible.
The UMN is pretty much a universe-spanding internet system in the lore. Your trolls could be actual trolls from another planet.

The game that made me a fan of Shinji Hosoe and still my favorite soundtrack by him. His synths and beats are top notch and this particular theme has a nicely discordant touch to it, which is something that is hard to pull off. I said this on Twitter a couple days ago, but I really want a Xenosaga HD collection from Monolith!
+SupraDarky Well there is the news that Sony is taking suggestions for thier PS2 to PS4 program where they actually improve the games resolution/framerate and such. They only ask that you tweet about it. So it's possible since a lot of the more popular games like metal gear, kingdom hearts and ZoE have already had HD collections. I suggest looking into this.
+Mike E.L. the Gamer Doesn't the Xenosaga franchise belong to Bandai Namco? So releasing this as a PS2 HD classic would be no problem.

Any talk regarding a Xenosaga HD collection was done through Harada (Tekken), being the one who said they'd need tens of thousands of signatures for Namdai to even consider it. That said, maybe they have a better chance through the PS2 to PS4 thing, but I think we'd all rather an HD collection on PS4 of all 3 games straight away.
