I never played this game before or even heard of it.. I hear this song and hear the bass and instantly knew Yasunori composed it. Haha what a genius man.

I disagree with this. Yes, there are many bad 3d games as well, but it's not the 3d that kills them, it's the decline of the gaming industry. I'm aspiring to be an indie game developer, and my first game will be 3d. It will be top down perspective, the same as a 2d top down rpg. It will be a top down, action JRPG with a live action battle system augmented by special moves separated by time. It will play like a classic top down 2d action rpg, but will be 3d. Would that be worth your time?

lol, There were just the first trailer a few weeks ago and it's already out in Japan ... I want it.
It won't be out here for a while, but you can check some gameplay vids in the related videos section and so on. It looks pretty good to me.

I like this a lot too :) Have you played any Nippon Ichi or other "Tales of" games (ToL, TotA), Supra? They've got some good VGMs too.
One of the rare games where Mitsuda composed the soundtrack completely by himself. The part at 0:47 has a totally classic Mitsuda bass and riff. :P The calm part starting at 1:15 reminds me of Chrono Trigger too. One of my most anticipated DS games.
