I've never heard a Playstation game that's sounded so much like a SNES game. Even Final Fantasy VII with its unsophisticated sound font sounded clearer and more pronounced then this. The whole thing is very interesting... Fantastic battle theme, nonetheless!
That's what i thought when i heard romancing saga 3, i believe that came two years earlier for the snes!

The atmosphere of this game is so great ! Even if the game is full of flaws, you somewhat get attached to this rich universe and to the characters. The battle system is dynamic, the music catchy and there are tons of side quests. I can understand that some people don't like it, but some other people like me were completely addicted to the game !
One of the greatest games that was never truly appreciated because of its complicity, which would also result in the reason why it was not popular. I think the core concept of this game is amazing, it's just only appealing to turn based JRPG fans only.

A game that's blatantly unfinished with character progression systems that are incomprehensible and highly random and rely on information that is never told to the player. They don't make games like this anymore, for better or worse.

This is quite the catchy battle theme. I wouldn't mind hearing this song over and over again. I always like battle themes that have a real distinct bass line.
This is song is very nostalgic for me, I've never once played the game and this is my first time hearing the name of it, but I some how remember it.

Loved this classic theme. Locomotion G :) Fuse was the best non main other than maybe Rouge but Rouge kinda was a main given blue
My memories of this game are very fuzzy, I only remember a couple parts here and there, including this classic Kenji Ito battle theme. The SaGa series in general has always been uniquely weird, from its atmosphere to its battle systems. Honestly, I'm surprised this franchise is still alive, I thought the latest entries were critical and commercial failures.
+SupraDarky Technically its a dead series unless you count The Last Remnant since it follows the same growth system and was made by the SaGa team.
+Sammy102093 the Legend of Legacy just came out and is described as a spiritual successor to the SaGa series.

I don't remember SaGa Frontier at all, but I remember every little detail of every area and most of the dialogue from SaGa Frontier 2. Weird how brains work. I had one of those Playstation Squaresoft "Collector's CDs" with quick demos of different games, and videos of others. It had a playable demo of Threads of Fate, Chocobo Racing, and I think Front Mission 3, with a preview video of SaGa Frontier 2, Chrono Cross, Chocobo's Dungeon 2, and Legend of Mana. I wish I could find it and watch those videos again.
+SupraDarky I think if they had released the SaGa 2 and 3 remakes in NA it would of received a lot more attention. After all Final Fantasy Legend 3 is by far still one of my favorite games of all time, but I guess the difficulty that was Romancing SaGa Minstral Song, and lets not forget the one game that even fans of the SaGa games hate in Unlimited SaGa...At least it has an amazing soundtrack ahahaha.

+SupraDarky I recently tried playing this and SF2 but i was so overwhelmed by not knowing what to do or where i am supposed to go. i would get lost and get killed by some OP enemy in one hit. When i played Blue i saw signs pointing everywhere and felt that it summed up my experience with the game. Lots of confusion.
+SupraDarky I played SaGa Frontier 2 as a kid, two times with failure as I got stuck at the very final boss and a third time some years ago on an emulator, to finally beat it, without looking up the ending but only training hints in the meantime. With that emotional connection, I still have the soundtrack and scenes full in my mind. Everything in it is simply a piece of art! Should I give SaGa Frontier 1 a try?
SaGa is more alive than ever before, that RS2 remake really kicked off a revival. We're even getting SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions this December, in english specigically, about time we had a fully new SaGa game.
@Densester Yeah! gotta love SaGa! this is truly a unique game and honestly I am glad it is getting more recognized now and noticed. In way I actually enjoy SaGa more over Final Fantasy the gameplay system is just so unique. complex yet sooo good. But I love my Final Fantasy too heh but SaGa I am glad it is getting the attention it deserves and the music is so good in it!
