Despite it's flaws, what captivated me about this games story was that there was no magical cure to save her - she was dying, and that was all there was to it. Not that I like death or anything creepy liked that - but it's just the concept of acceptance, and learning to enjoy what time they have left, together.

why the life sucks now not like before.. RPG games was better at PS1-PS2 and now every new game sucks , Wild arms , Chrono Trigger , Dragon Quest, Dark Cloud , the old rpgs gone ..

Wanted to let you know that I just finished listening to all of your uploads from 1 to 1799. Been listening at work for the last several month. I plan on relistening again and writing down the games I want to play that I haven't experienced yet. Here's to another 1799!

Seriously @SupraDarky I highly HIGHLY recommend checking out the Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward music (there's a couple channels around here where folks have posted high quality captures of it). I guarantee you will enjoy most of it.

I want more WA so badly, but I want WA 1, 2, or 3 style again. I couldn't get into 4 or 5. I beat them, but they didn't stick with me like the first three games did.
I can't recall what the song's area looks like...that water tunnel dungeon comes to mind. Game always gives me strong nostalgia even though I've only played it 3 times

I am so glad that you posted a song from this series. I was at a local retro video game store and got Wild Arms 2 and 3 for a combined 25 dollars. I can't wait to start playing them as soon as i can get a PS 2 controller.
@Eric C. Enjoy the ride! WA2's last boss and ending is phenomenal, nearly brings me to tears. And WA3 is an all around solid game. It has an amazing soundtrack and so much stuff to do in the game. WA3 was also one of, if not, the first cel-shaded game to come out in the US.

I think this might be the series' longest track. Suzuki barely composed any VGM except for a couple tracks in this game, which are all very solid. I like his multiphase composition technique (see #191), with this theme being a perfect representation of it. It plays inside a city's ruins and if I remember correctly, each new screen starts the next phase. It's always been a favorite of mine, even if it's quite slow.

Great theme. This just makes me want to start the Wild Arms series even more...I really need to.. Anyways, #1800....Definitely guessing NieR.
@SupraDarky Hey dude I started a series that is almost exactly like your Best VGM series except mine is called Tails' Favorite VGM and it has different songs. I got the idea from you so thanks and I just wanted to let you know in case anyone says I'm copying you.
