I'm thinking. Metroid Prime 3 maybe left the traditional "Playbyfindimgnewstufftokillbigbadboss" but it is the best Metroid Game so far. Beautiful Designs, planets and music; fleshed out factions, the best console FPS controller. The few tiny gimmicks aren't even a fraction of the problem people make them out to be.

This game was worthy of the original. Skytown was an instant classic to me. I'd go as far as even saying it is my favourite setting in the entirety of science fiction. (Chozo ruins a very very close second)
I honestly agree with you so much. Amazed even more than the first game at the atmosphere and awe of this place.
Sanctuary, Phendrana, Torvus and Skytown were my personal favorites
MP3 was the 3rd Metroid I had ever played. 1st 3D Metroid. I worked so hard in the first couple worlds. I was blown away by this. Def holds special place.

Reminds me of one of kingdom Hearts tracks. Nice upload never got to play Prime 3, but the 1st prime is an instant classic.
I came into the Metroid series very late - with Corruption. So many fond memories. Like when I first beat Mogenar, god that was a fist pump moment. I only managed to beat it on a small tv in a rented flat in Southend-On-Sea - then it entered my backlog until trilogy came out. Finished prime. Still ain't finished the otherfirst person ones or Super Metriod - ain't even bought Other M - but of what I played, these games are the Chozo's Feathers :3
I'm disappointed that this or a different Metroid Prime locale wasn't a stage in Smash 4. I guess people were clamoring for an Other M stage instead?
No true Metroid fan enjoyed Other M. Nintendo put the map in to sell Other M. They stopped producing the game months after release because of the horrible sales. That's why, when you see it in retail (where I live) it's about $84 CND. Which is a lot more expensive than AAA games that just come out.

Skytown was one of my favorite areas in the trilogy. I loved the enemies and visual design.
This area and its music are just phenomenal. God, Retro HAS to do another Prime game. Few games can match the Prime trilogy when it comes to atmosphere to me.

Very reminiscent of Yoko Shimomura's Dive into the heart-like cenario music. I like it!
Prime 1 was great, couldn't get into 2(should I give it another shot?) and I never played 3. But this sounds like a song on par with the great score that 1 had!
@Dane Tucker If you liked Prime 1, Prime 2 is a very similar game. I'd say Prime 2 is a bit tougher than the first game, and you have to be patient as the transitions between Aether and Dark Aether take a while (and there are a lot of them throughout the game), but it's still a very good game. Prime 3 I would say is almost as amazing as Prime 1, and while Prime 2 was almost the exact same formula as Prime 1, Prime 3 makes some nice changes to the format, so I'd definitely recommend Prime 3 as well.
@Dane Tucker 3>1>2 to make it short. Well depends if you like action take this order, if you take exploration/backtracking over action switch 1 and 3. (2 ahs more exploration than 3 surely, but for me still 3 is the better game.)
@TravistheGREAT03 1>=2>3 if you ask me and I hope you do. Prime 3 literally has a Cortana barking orders complete with gruff general-man and all. Prime 3 is dumb
@kricku You hope? that I am asking? or I'm agreeing? Well I'm not askign but everyone has heir own opinion and can state it. And for agreeing..surely not. As you can guess form my comment I like action. And the "fighting" if you want to cll it liek that definitely was the best in 3. best bosses, the battles felt smooth and the gameplay was good. As I said I get thatmany metroid fans particularly like the exploration factor and MP§ defenitely lacks there..but to me that is not a bad thing. As for 2...it is jst clearly the wirst of the bunch for me. The dark world gets very tedious in the end, except from Quadraxis the battles are unmemorable to even just being annoying and frustrating. MP2 is till a "good" game, but surely lacks to much on every end to be as great as the other 2. Again as for 1 and 3, I'm totally aware that that is a thing of what you prefer in a game of that kind.
Prime 1 was awesome and is still on of my favorites of all time. Prime 2 pretty hard on the normal mode on the GCN (for casual gamers) but it still had the great feeling of Metroid which was lost on Prime 3, where you're only straight forward adventuring through some areas only to never revisit them ever again. for me it's clearly 1>2>3

Metroid Prime 3 was the best one. You should play it (priority over MP 2)
I played them all from start to finish and IMO Prime 3 > Prime 2 >>> Prime 1. Each game got better, but Metroid Prime 2 in particular was CRIMINALLY under-rated.

I was just as disappointed as most of you when Federation Force was unveiled, wondering if Nintendo really thought the reception would be anything but negative after the fanbase asked for a new Metroid game for so long. It looks like a good concept they decided to slap the Metroid name on. On a more positive note, I'm not worried the game will be good since Next Level Games are very competent. I'm also pretty sure a real Metroid game is currently in the works and will be unveiled not much later.
@SupraDarky Unless I'm mistaken, I believe they announced a day or two later that an actual Metroid game was in the works.
@SupraDarky I really like the cpncept of Federation force...but instead of a gimmicky monster hutner style thing...they should have taken a much darker route....Like a Coop Shooter about the Federation Soldiers YES But on WII U, in a Dark Facility Complex or something...dark corridors...some bigger but dark hallrooms...and fucking Wiiu graphics monsters behind every corner. fuck that woul have been cool!
@SupraDarky Kensuke Tanabe said that there is no Metroid Prime game in development. Even if they were to start right away it would take 3 years for it to come out. By that time, Nintendo would have dropped the Wii U and moved to the NX.

SupraDarky Hey, just wanted to tell everyone even though it's dead, there's gonna be a Prime 4. Let's hope it won't be a disappointment... I actually love that series still, from 2010-2018 for me...
