There was a lot of great music in this game but so many other things about it were awful. Even Larian considered it so bad that they made a new version and sent free copies to people that still had their receipts. It's the only black mark on the entirety of Larian's otherwise amazing legacy. I ran into one of the worst bugs the game had where there was a location on the side of a mountain (on the world map) that was my next plot destination but the access trigger never went off and there was nothing I could do.
I never played any of this series aside from the first one. I thought the first one was awful, so I never gave the others a chance. Are the sequels any better? I really would like to enjoy them because I've heard the soundtracks and think those are excellent.

Sad he passed but ugh this is horrible music. My ears have been assaulted my a mishmash of uncoordinated instruments.

This game got one of the best Soundtracks in my opinion. I also really enjoyed the Track played in lord lovis Tower.
First time I've heard this and I can't get it out of my head, love it! It's a shame that the composer passed away, I will probably always remember that together with this song.

Hmm this actually sounds really sinister to me. Pretty interesting for a starting town.
@BaoZakeruga Agreed. The instrumentation sounds really erratic, and the reverb, coupled with the slightly off minor scale, makes it a bit unnerving, to be honest. I've never played the game, so i don't even know if it''s intentional that it sounds so sinister?
Kirill Pokrovsky, the Divinity series composer, has passed away yesterday. This is very sad as he was still young and full of talent. The VGM composing scene won't be the same without him. This theme plays in the game's starting town and I absolutely love it. The guitar mixed with the whistling is a highlight, evoking carefree and peaceful times after a darker sequence.
@SupraDarky Huh, I didn't even know there was a Divinity 2. I'll have to look into it!
I've been whistling the 1:10 part constantly since uploading this.
@bosskopo15 Divinity: Original Sin is a prequel to the entire series, and Divinity 2 is a direct sequel to Divine Divinity, which was released all the way back in 2002; just in case you weren't aware of the other games!
@DracXBelmont I wasn't sure where Original Sin fit into things or if it was even related, so thanks for clearing that up!
