The soundtrack to this game is very good especially for a game back at the time this was released. I used to push pause and just enjoy the music.
The cover art for this game was METAL!
The music actually sounds pretty good.
The opening melody sounds so similar to "REBUS (Holy Woman)" from Legend of Kartia. I wonder if Tsuchiya and Kurokawa got any 'inspiration' from Drakkhen.

I never cared for this game though it had humorous moments like the demon dog head shooting lasers. The music was generally good so at least it had that going for it.
Probably one of the most nostalgic games for me. I'm still shocked to this day that I beat it somehow as a kid, considering how cryptic and weird it was. Glad to finally see some of its music show up on your list Supra, I've always been a fan of a lot of its soundtracks.
don't know why, but this kind of reminds me of Mario 64's underwater theme.
Probably those arpeggios on the warm pad synth, it does have a similar feel to the SM64 tune.
This game isn't very good, it's decent. However, I get very nostalgic over it since my friend from way back in the 3rd grade owned it and we spent hours playing it one day. From then on I would rent it every once and a while because there's just...something about it that kept drawing me back. I just recently picked up a copy and I'm really happy to have it in my collection. That friend recently passed away, so I always think of him along with this game. As for the music, I think it's VERY underrated. I always thought it was great!
@Dane Tucker The music is cool, but the only thing that is actually interesting about the game is the fact that it's very unique for a SNES game. It's not a good game, it's just a unique game.

Got it with Super Ghouls and Ghosts at a pawn shop when I was 8 or so... it has some very nostalgic songs for me, despite not being able to understand it much back then.
Reminds me of "Phantom and a Rose" from Secret of Mana.
I know of this game through Game Grumps, and through Proton Jon, who played it once on his stream. It's bad. But it led to some good moments, such as Proton Jon's *"LAZAH PANTHA!!!!!"*

I only know this game from the Game Grumps episode on it, but that's one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. This game, though... a bit of a stinker, by the look of it.
@JunkSnail The game seems interesting on the surface, but the gameplay doesn't seem interesting. I would consider this to be one of the worst Super Nintendo games that I owned. It's not that the game is bad per se, it's just that the presentation of the game and the gameplay seem so lackluster that you don't even want to continue the game to see if it's any good.
As a kid, I'd rent any game that was labelled an RPG. As a huge fan of the genre, I was rarely disappointed, but I simply couldn't play more than 30 minutes of this game before I gave up. I don't generally put a lot of importance on graphics, but I remember being completely put off by them (as well as the gameplay). It did seem to have a couple good tracks though, like this peaceful theme.

Definitely took a little work to get into the game, but was a pretty unique RPG on the SNES. The sequel SO different it's hard to even believe it's part of the same franchise.

@Stewie G The game just seems boring. The mechanics aren't really interesting, and you have no idea what to do. You just wander around interacting with stuff. It's not the worst game ever made, but it does completely fail to grab your attention. I guess it's not a terrible game if you like RPG's. But there are so many good games on the SNES, I don't see why anyone would want to play Drakkhen over something else.
I played the shit out of this game, I was never a fan of the hold your hand and force you through games like the newer FFs. I get that its ugly. still loved it, own it, and even play it every couple years.
