After finishing DKC2 for the umpteenth time, I have to say that David Wise has actually gotten better since the SNES days. It makes me wish they would include a physical album with these songs.

Honestly my pick for most underrated game of the year. Every minute of it was challenging, fun, and backed by a BRAND NEW DAVID WISE SCORE! Haven't heard a soundtrack this fullfilling in years, complemented with amazing gameplay and environments. I hope they make it a trilogy, and bring David in again. (Also Kremlings, please and thank you :) )
I totally agree. This game was very ignored by most people and it's amazing.
Really glad you picked this track. This one's pretty underrated. One of my personal favorites off the soundtrack. And this game was miles better than Returns imo, if not for the music alone. Wise did a phenomenal job here. The soundtrack has so much variety and is really good throughout.

It really does have that mid 90s feel, sounds like a x files back round riff or a new sega cd game you just discovered.
My personal favorite from this game is Wing Ding, but there still isn't a song that I don't like on the soundtrack.

I enjoyed this a lot more than the first game. Maybe I'm crazy, but this one seemed to have way better hitboxes around things. Also Dixie Kong.
+Jonochrome The hitboxes did seem much better. And DK felt a lot easier to control when he's alone.

The only reason this game isn't higher on this Top is that I haven't finished it. From what I've played so far, it's just as amazing as Returns (which was my favorite game of its year), and probably even better thanks to additions like the great David Wise's music. I can't wait to continue playing it once I get my Wii U back.

I loved this game so much! You have to finish it. It has the best soundtrack I've heard in a long time. I load up the game just to sit and listen to the music on most levels.
