I like this choice. SNES version of Opposing bloodlines has more "force" than pc engine. Pc engine with the cd version sounds a little "clean". Anyway, both are great versions but snes spc is just charming.
I'm in the minority who prefers this version of the song over the original, even if the game itself is way too slow and clunky compared to the other CV's and the original Dracula X (IMO).
Oh Castlevania, you don't have to oppose Bloodlines, you're two completely different types of vampire games.

Every game in this series has great music. It's insane!
Once you get over the fact this isn't an exact port; you'll find a decent game with a killer soundtrack. Which in many ways....sounds better. (If only they did a SNES version of 'Cross of Fear' though.)
I love this version! I remember getting this for Xmas in 1995. Sadly I have yet to play rondo of blood. :(

Alfonso ST At first, it was called or Bloodlines or Opposing Bloodlines, with the pass of the years it adquired various names,such a Divine Bloodlines, Bloodlines of Heaven and Earth and Bloodlines Bequeathed.
The PC Engine had the better overall game. Just the SNES sound chip was leagues better.
Are you fucking kidding me. Have you even played Rondo of Blood? The SNES version has some good tracks on it, yes, but you'd have to be on something serious to say it's better than the original PCE soundtrack.
@SJtheMFZB Yes, although not because the PCE's soundchip was better, but because it was the PC Engine CD which used Red Book audio (i.e. streamed). They're both fantastic soundtracks though.
Comparing the PCE's CV sound to SNES's CV sound is like comparing sex to masturbation. Sure, you feel good after jerking off, but why settle to the fake one when you can have sex for real? PCE > SNES

As I already mentioned, as much as I like the original PC Engine soundtrack, there's something about the crisp SNES version I absolutely love. Thinking about it, this game's soundtrack is full of awesome intros that immediately get me into its themes. The guitar in this one, the percussion in Opus 13 (#433) and the moody ambience in Beginning (#272).
Well, I've already been getting into a bit of a Castlevania mood, so why not?
For some reason, this track sounds better on SNES. This game overall has a cleaner PC engine soundtrack, but some SNES tracks manage to be better.
@SupraDarky This is one of the Snes themes I also prefer over the PC Engine version.
