This is pretty impressive sound quality for the SNES, especially a licensed game from 1993. I was pretty surprised when I saw this game was in surround sound, I didn't think a 16-bit game from '93 could handle that.
+Taylor Holmstrom Yeah the dolby logo on the box, surprising. I feel like surround in console gaming didn't start picking up steam until gen 6

This has got to be one of the best BGMs from the SNES era. The Cyber Punk theme feel is cemented within Jurassic Park. If you close your eyes its as if you are playing through a jungle level of Deus Ex. Awesome upload SupraDarky. :D

@normalguycap I came really close, but was confused at the end by some dinosaur eggs that wouldn't burn. Turns out, you need one *specific* type of flame thrower. I actually bought this recently to beat it once-and-for-all before Jurassic World comes out.
Well there is no flame thrower in Jurassic Park SNES i highly doubt the PAL version is different but i have beaten Jurassic Park on SNES once took me 4 hours on original snes not a computer emulator for snes
@Chad Holbrook Yes, you're right! I'm playing it now, and it turns out that you actually need nerve gas to destroy the raptor nest. Over the many years since I played this as a teenager, "nerve gas" actually became "flame thrower" in my mind, lol! But tonight, I'm going to finally beat this game!

Fun game, but oh boy, the laggy FPS keycard hunting sections are coming back to haunt me. The raptor nest was a nightmare of gray walls.

Ahh memories. This game had great music, but the first-person building areas gave me headaches(and scared the crap out of me)!
I would always chase down all the Gallimimus with that shock thing.
I remember watching the first movie growing up and being scared of it. I may have to watch this movie again just to reminisce. This song is really calming and has a nice feel to it.

As a big fan of the first Jurassic Park movie, I'm quite excited to finally get a new movie (of which we'll get a trailer soon). However, having not liked the sequels at all, I have a hard time imagining that it will even be close to the first movie's greatness. Still, watching giant dinosaurs on the big screen while eating popcorn should be entertaining. I don't know if it's just me, but even when I go to the movies with a full stomach thinking "This time, I won't buy anything to eat", the smell of buttery popcorn is simply impossible to ignore and before I know it, I'm standing in line with money in hand.
The sequels are my biggest guilty pleasures lol. Even though I recognize they're bad.

I use to work at a movie theater for a couple of years and everytime I walk past the concession stand I just think of all the times I handed out popcorn to people, and all the free popcorn I ate. I recently started eating popcorn again, almost 4 years after quitting that place.
@redmageviewer After having worked at concessions myself in the past, and seeing how they handled and stored the food, including the popcorn...well I'll never buy anything other than candy or soda at concessions again. Lord help you if you get a hot dog.
Loved the first movie, also liked the second one (because of Jeff freakin Goldblum), but it was nowhere as good as the original. That movie is a true gem. Never played the SNES game, but I think it is different from the DOS game I played.
@MrTwrule Didn't sell hot dogs at my theater but we did have theses nachos that came with a plastic cheese container thing, that was really gross...
A fun game I played when I was a kid was Operation Genesis. Its rare these days but I have a working copy. <3
Haha, oh man. The SNES Jurassic Park. I remember renting this once. I don't think I ever made any proper progress at all due to not understanding what I was supposed to do. I don't even remember if the game was much good.
The original is my favorite movie of all time, The Lost World is a decent follow-up IMO, and all that just made Jurassic Park III the biggest kick in the face ever.
