Even though this is the weakest game in the trilogy, the ending of this game is the best ending to any game I've ever played. Every second after going through the Conduit is a masterpiece of cinematic storytelling.

I'll never forget finishing the game and my reaction to this awesome song.
Every time I beat the game, I always just sit back and listen to this. It is perfect for the ending, and fits the context quite well. Damn great game. And a damn fine soundtrack too.

this game had the best music as far as modern soundtracks go. after beating the game, immediately went out and bought the soundtrack, brought it to Video Games Live and had Jack Wall autograph it

beaten it once, carried the save over to mass effect 2. was gonna import that save to me3, but the save was corrupt so i replayed mass effect 2 and used the genesis dlc.. then i played mass effect 3. overall the story is best in mass effect 1, but the gameplay is best in me3. the music i'm not so sure about. nothing memorable in me2, me1 only had this and the music in the final cutscene that stood out to me. the music in me3 is awesome

This song is what made the credits so epic cus you hear this as they roll and your thinking wow what a ride the game was......
This was so damn epic the first time I finished it. After the third time it was just "meh"
i beat this game more times than i remember each time tying to improve and get everything i missed. only played as a renegade once out of those dozens of play throughs
I've beaten mass effect too many times. Played for half a year once.
@WolfenNights Yup...Well now four times since I got a new Xbox so I can have a good file transfer for Mass Effect 2. I still stand by what I say.

A strange choice for the credits of the game, though one that I think was well considered and suited the game. Can picture all the epic stuff i've done as shephard along with it...
@melosebrainuhoh You only have to bear the whiny mandouche in the credits, so play on. ;) Also, since it's only the credits without anything interesting, you can also just kill the sound or abort the game at that point.
@chronotrig100 I remember finishing DA: Origins and hoping for something really epic to conclude it, worthy of a Bioware game. Then "30 Seconds to Mars" started playing. Boy, could I not take the credits seriously. :|
@DjEzhel88 Not necessarily true, actually. But most stories need dialog to make their story.
@ClockwerkDingo ummm thats why Mass Effect 2 came out, more action and less RPG elements but still what makes the game is the story, cant have a story without a dialogue

hey SupraDarky! Are "Still Alive" from Portal and the ending credits from Link to the Past on your list? Those are both great ending credits themes.
Another Bioware game with a great ending credits song is Dragon Age. "This is War" by Thirty Seconds to Mars fits the game perfectly.
I have an emotional attachment to this song because it plays at the end of one of the most epic story lines every pinned. Perfect choice for a credits tune.

Yay, i can't wait for the second game! If they make it longer and make the sidequests longer and more interesting and the sideplanets actually have different things it would easily be one of the best games ever.
