Yes, it's easily my most anticipated horror game. I loved the teaser.
I have yet to hear a bad Silent Hill soundtrack.
The one thing from this game that freaked me out was that one room in the hospital. (you know the one)
And to think some people never liked Joe Romersa's voice. Baffles me. It's fantastic, especially since it fits the soundtrack so, so well. Cradle of Forest from SH4 is another great example.

Not only my favorite Silent Hill soundtrack, but my favorite from a horror game. I remember getting the album right when it released and listening to it on loop. To me, it's Yamaoka's masterpiece. The game itself was also terrifyingly good with graphics that still stand up today. The Silent Hill series is the best at building a believable horror atmosphere, making a masterful use of sounds and disturbing settings to scare you in different ways... it's often what you can't see that is scariest. Silent Hill 3 has some of the most memorable moments in the series: mirror room anyone?

I remember playing this when it came out, alone, at night with the lights off, in my bedroom, and I was literally scared. I closed the bedroom door just to make sure I was ok lol.
God, the mirror room ... broke my mind.
@***** I've heard good things about the PC version, but the PS2 version is always a safe bet. The HD collection is very disappointing.
@SupraDarky Why is the collection disappointing? I haven't played it but how can it be bad if it's the same game with a better resolution.
@Mr. Fuzzums If they would've just improved the resolution, things would've been fine. Not sure about SH3, but in SH2 they lowered the fog thickness, which was a pretty stupid idea, as that was a really important atmosphere element. Also some of the textures look less dirty. That's what I remember at least.
