I found this one a little overhyped myself. Still had a decent time with it, but it wasn't that scary.
This is very similar to an intro song from Cradle of Filth called "Dinner at Deviant's Palace". Very cool

Good choice. I actually had to take breaks to play this game. Sometimes the atmosphere was too much but I did complete the game. Yay me. I'm still curious to try the dlc.
The DLC Whistleblower is very good like the main game with some very gruesome moments burning into your brain. ;)
I've yet to play this game, or watch someone play it(Mainly because I'm gonna try to do a 'Let's Play' when I have the right equipment) but I've heard so many great things about this game, and especially of it's DLC, Whistleblower :D Thanks for posting this up, now I'm like... 10X more excited! Though I have no idea what I'm getting myself in to... Should I be scared? <.<;
Be _very_ scared. If I don't give you any spoilers, I can't tell you what to expect. That's how much _stuff_ is in this game. Also, I'd highly recommend "liteCam 100FPS Game Capture" on Steam. Sounds like a horror classic. To be honest though, I really don't like the music where you're being chased by the guy who calls you "Little Pig", because I find it to be kinda cheesy.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of survival horror games where you can only run away without being able to defend yourself, but Outlast did it right. The whole nightvision camera mechanic was simply perfect, I knew I was in for some scary time when I first turned it on and saw how realistic it felt. There were moments where I'd arrive at a door to a pitch black room and I'd just stand there, convincing myself to step inside with only the disorienting camera guiding you, making it feel quite claustrophobic. With its very oppressive atmosphere, I find a horror game that can often make me think "Wow, I'm glad I'm finally out of this room/floor/sequence" to be memorable and effective.

Look at the Rule Of Rose ost, some fantastic music. Also a fantastic game.
