Ha! I finally got it! The game you haven't played is Summon Night Sword Craft Story!(correct me if im wrong - and the second one has better bgm,except in battle)

as far as videogame OSTs go this is a hidden gem. The gameplay however, is comparable to a child's board game. The progress of the game is completely random, slow, and boring. I would have rather just bought the OST than the actual game.

Imagine the slots from Tifa's limit break. Now imagine that you have to do that for almost every action you take. That's just the battle system. You can actually get weaker from leveling up if you're unlucky. The final boss has less buildup than Necron did, and is damn near impossible to beat. I don't recall being satisfied by any of the characters stories. Perhaps worst of all, the game explains absolutely nothing about how any of it's mechanics work. This game was a mess.
Good track
The music for the game was very good, but the gameplay was horrid, unbalanced, and annoying. They basically took the system from Saga Frontier and threw in LSD and mixed with whatever they could find. It is a game that I would love if they went back and redid the system for without touching anything else.

this game has atmospheric music, but the game is absolutely atrocious, one of the worst games i have ever had the displeasure of playing.

Yeah that is why I was able to buy this game for 2 bucks (used) at Gamestop a few years back. I don't regret it though, because it helped me discover the music.

Even if this game wasn't all that great, I remember playing it as a kid. Still was a lot of fun just exploring around and the music was always good.
I've never played this game and heard quite a lot of bad things about it, but Hamauzu rarely disappoints with his soundtracks. I find he has a very distinctive style, one that I didn't immediately appreciate. This little theme is addictive, with an always top notch sound quality with Ryo Yamazaki as the synthesizer. I've always liked the sine wave.
This game is not as bad as is used to hear, is just not for everyone
+Sergi Borràs As a fan of the Saga series, this game was terrible. We need a Saga title in the future, but I hope it is more like sage frontier
