Loved this! It was nice and refreshing to hear this after hearing the town theme in Europe too many times.
Shaodw hearts is one of my favorite ps2 games and still have them today! I love the gameplay and how goofy the interaction with the other character was during cutscene. It's my most enjoyable game of all time!
I've never played Shadow Hearts before but it seems underrated. Never really heard anyone talk about it but I'm sure to give it a go one day. Like SupraDarky, it may even fit in my top 25 favourite games of all time.
the first is a masterpiece, the second is too but in an entirely different way. the third is flawed, but quirky and memorable.
Nestor Collazo i enjoyed the third a lot because of its weirdness and less focus in romance.
it is, that seems to be the consensus of most people who ever played the thing. Don't wait man your missing out. With all the great RPGs ive ever played, its the best and its not even close. Behind that theres some final fantasy games, breath of fire III, parasite eve, Metal Gear Solid, some others im not thinking of, and then theres Shadow Hearts Covenant. It shatters the barriers between the real world and the game in a profound way thats only been achieved before in games like the original metal gears. Makes you question your own life and the world. Without spoiling too much... you should really probably stop procrastinating with that oh so important job of your and play this game.

There's another town in this game that had really calming and subdued joyful music that I especially liked (guess it was the Europe town). That's the town music I generally think of. Anyhow this game was alright, but I liked the first one a whole lot better. This game just got too silly. I enjoyed the mood of the first game way more.

This series has always been in my queue to get to. It moves closer every day. It'll most likely come when I finish the last two .Hack games which will be pretty soon most likely. Could have these by the end of the year unless I find a golden deal I can't refuse soon and buy it on the spot.

+OmnipotentO Of course I (we) do! The original game has a unique and unforgettable charm, and the second game is among of my favourite RPGs of all time, plotwise. I haven't played 3, but from what I've seen it nowhere near measures up to the first 2.

some people do. I never forget it. Its tied with two (that I can think of) other games as the best games of all time. This one might even be the best out of the three. I wasn't a huge fan of the combat system though, but it was also very novel.
I recently picked up the Shadow Hearts Trilogy (one big reason is hearing all the epic music on your channel SupraDarky!) and dang is it an awesome series so far! I just beat the first Shadow Hearts and now I am getting ready to start Covenant. I love the characters, the battle system and Yuri's transformations.
If you can (if you haven't already), try to get Koudelka. It's actually the first Shadow Hearts game and it sets up several key themes, ideas, and even characters that carry on throughout the series.

shadow hearts is the greatest! When you finish the game, tell us what you think... you're going to be in for a surprise I think. I was. I wish I could give hints, but I don't want to sully the experience. ALSO, if you like the transformation system, your going to LOVE Breath of Fire III. Look it up, highly highly recommend. Its got a very similar, but arguably better and more sophisticated transformation system where you get to turn into dragons. Yes thats correct, your main character gets to turn into dragons at will.
Sounds a bit like Cosmo Canyon from FF7, Awesome!
I love the Shadow Hearts trilogy. Covenant was easily the best of the three but all of them were amazing.
only one ive played but im not surprised, it was a downright masterpiece.
I looked at the other two and they didn't even seem worth playing. Ive only played this one, and its one of the greatest games, or pieces of art period, that ive ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
one of my favorite RPG games of all time, amazing funny and memorable characters and amazing soundtrack! im a veeery picky gamer so this says a lot. Xenosaga series is up there with this too as far as PS2 underappreciated classics go

Yup
I loved how this game took place in the real world. I'll always remember the epic fight that ended the first half of the game in Europe, then arriving in Japan and hearing new battle and boss themes. An almost perfect RPG to me, which is why it's in my Top 30 games of all time.

When I go to Petersburg, I'll remember the Idar Flamme
right!? I learned a lot of fucking history playing that game. I wish other people caught onto what an amazing idea this is and replicated it. Very, very few people have proven to be creative enough to pull it off. Going over the history of the war and having this secret world that was right behind our backs, lurking out of the hearts and minds of common people. It has the ability to bring mystery back into a world we foolishly think is solved.
