After black hole rising beating this game's series campaign became a piece of cake. Days of Ruin is one of the easiest campaigns by far in terms of strategy.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I honestly think it is Nintendo's golden example of under-represented IPs. I hope to see that remedied in a 3DS version of Advance Wars. : )

This is like one of my favourite franchises. I've recently came back to the AW:DS and I'm really happy. Although I sort of miss Adder and Flak in the main story, that's still a great game with a huge variety of characters. If you want to play the game, but with some real people, I'd advice you to check out Advance Wars by Web (just google that) and invite a friend or two to the game. Though it lacks the fantastic music, but the gameplay is there. As for the music, I'm a huge fan of Blue Moon theme and Grimm's theme. Damn, Grimm, you magnificent bastard.

I played and loved Advance Wars 1, 2 and DS... why haven't I played Days of Ruin yet? Just another victim of a huge backlog. It's a shame we haven't seen a new entry for the 3DS yet, the handheld is screaming for it. This series oozes style and its top notch gameplay makes it super addictive. Jess' Theme always stood out to me thanks in part to its awesome intro, gotta love the drums & guitar.
I think that Intelligent Systems is too busy developing Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei right now, which is going to be awesome!

Days of Ruin is a pretty different atmosphere, but I liked it a lot. You oughta give it a shot when you dig through that backlog.
@XCAltoona Yea, Days of Ruin has a different feel. By the time it got to Dual Strike, CO, SCO and Tag powers were determining the entirety of the battle. With Days of Ruin they took step back on the CO impact and made the effects of the COs more modest. I like the atmosphere in the main series better, but the units in Days of Ruin are more interesting.
@Axel Majes At first I was sceptical about the lack of depth in DoR game modes, but after some time - I loved how the core gameplay went back to the basics and became more tactical and balanced. Also, I'm a big fan of DoR's direction in the storytelling, too bad that poor sales probably won't make DoR 2 possible...
Intelligent Systems said they don't want to abandon any of their series. I expect an AW game to make it on the 3DS, just not sure when.
+GameBeatenakaKevinS That game looked like some lame little kid game. I played the demo and while it was a bit kiddie, the battles were fun and the dialog was decently funny.
You just missed out on a great game! DoR has the best storyline so far in the series. Also DoR requires more strategy unlike the first 3 games.
