I was working and just listening the song. I was (without looking) "hmm nice music whic game is it? 0:32 "Ah it sounds like Gruntilda theme it must be Banjo Tooie because I did not play it" I looked "ah... Demon's Souls...not accurate at all I need coffee..."
Still the best Souls game until this day. Sorry Dark Souls.
The very beginning reminded me of Sephiroth's battle theme... no so much as it progressed but still
Demon souls really had some of the best melancholic music in the souls series... so charming so incredibly eerie, good stuff. i like to be punished and gets ridiculed!

I tried to play this game after getting really into Dark Souls 1. The online was dead and the game did seem more unfair than Dark Souls at times (bridge dragons, world tendecies, half HP on death...) but nothing too bad. And then the Dragon God showed up and after completing the whole world without dying once it felt like an even more terrible Bed of Chaos. I didn't really like the linear world design either. So yeah, no online, that bullshit boss, I didn't really get into this game as I'd hoped I would. It still has its own merit but I just can't understand people saying that it's better than Dark Souls 1. I guess it depends on which game you play first...

Picked this up off the psn during their rpg sale. So far so good, I've heard good things about this game.
Currently playing Dark Souls as you uploaded this. 2 is a massive disappointment, so I've returned to my personal favorite.
Always loved this piece, Demon's had a great soundtrack (just like the other Souls games). While I prefer Dark Souls I, Demon's was still a great game and a great experience.
I'm playing this game right now, I just finished Tower of Latria and it quickly became one of my favorite places in the Souls series (I haven't played Dark Souls 2 yet). I'm at the Old Hero boss now, tried it once and got wrecked. He doesn't seem too hard, but reaching him is the painful part. Bloodborne is the reason I'll have to buy a PS4, it looks like an awesome evolution of the Souls games. There's also Lords of the Fallen which looks like a Souls clone made by Witcher 2's producer, I'll gladly play it once it comes out.

Dark souls 2 is great....but nothing in any of the other souls games comes close to the atmosphere in the tower of Latria....and those fucking maneaters, holy shit are they annoying
Wait till you fight the archdemon of Boletaria, its one of the most epic fights of souls series. And the guy has badass boss theme.
@***** its not even about what the "purists" want. Dark Souls 2 just isnt at equal foot to its predecessors, and im just saying that he doesnt have to bother with it, not saying he shouldnt play it. Its a good game, but I felt quite indifferent by the end of the game
@Puddimans 4-3 is pretty epic,too,but 5-3 is still the best fight in the series. As for DS2,I consider it a significant step backward in terms of level design,world building as well as enemey and boss design.
Demon's souls is the best of the souls games in the atmosphere department. 4-2 (the level leading to the old hero) is the worst designed level in the game, really long and tough with no shortcuts to help keep your progress. The boss fight after the old hero is one of my favorites though so it's worth the slog through 4-2. A tip for the old hero is that he can't see very well, so doing a single attack then running away and getting behind him works well. The thief ring also makes the old hero fight much easier.
Don't make me buy a ps4, ever since I heard about bloodbourne, I've been on the edge.

@LaMereACaniche bloodborne is a console seller, i am playing Destiny Alpha now and it is AMAZING! cant wait for that to come out
@Hawelo92 i bought the wii u only for mario kart 8 and i ended up buying mario 3D world and donkey kong...glad i did they were all good good good games...and so many to come out soon.
@Asya Mura Mario Kart 8 comes with a free game, too, you know. Anyway, if those are the only ones you have, I'd recommend The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 and if you haven't played the original, Wind Waker HD. With your three games, that's my current Wii U library.

common sense tip: Look down before you jump. also, stay away from the "sticky white stuff."
I recommend you play dragons dogma: dark arisen if you have not already. same style and controls but a bit more fun.
Tower of Latria is still one of my favorite level designs in any game
@Szadek23 Yea, 5-3 is kind of sad really. But because 5-2 is "a journey you will never forget", the rage you are experiencing is enough for you to level down a city.
@Puddimans Yeah,it's pretty terrible,but it also makes sense thematically.Even getting from point a to b is very dangerous,just image living in a place like this.

@***** Personally, I think that DS2 is a good game, but not as enjoyable as DS1. It took several steps forward (enemy variety, weapons and their movesets are improved, etc.) but then at the same time took some steps back (soul memory, removing the idea of builds for PvP, the fact you can get stunlocked when you are in heavy armor).
