I hated anime when I was growing up, but this was a huge exception. Fucking loved Cyborg 009. Like X-Men meets Astro Boy!

Tezuka was Ishinomori's mentor, so he's definitely going to emulate the style in one of his earliest works.
Apparently this was Yu Narukami's first role before Persona 4 lol.
I saw the Anime when I was a kid. Dubbed to Swedish, by one guy, who did EVERY voice in the entire anime. And considering the grammar he was not Swedish.. But I loved the series anyway, and I had no clue there was a game for it.
Sounds like an abridged series. Would have been awkward if it was.

Never knew this anime had a game, though I have actually seen the anime. And to be honest, it was fairly good up until the last few episodes.

I actually loved this game and did an LP on it WAY back... The music was indeed VERY good. It makes me miss the golden age of games. BygMan plays: Cyborg 009 (Part 1) (1-2)
I remember watching the anime!
Cyborg 009 is a classic manga/anime. I didn't play this game, but I heard it's an average action platformer. It does have some cool rocking tracks like this one though, which is always fitting for the genre. Gotta love the SNES sound.
I played this one, there is an English translation online. It's not bad at all, especially for a licensed game, but I think that may be my bias toward the franchise. I will say that some of the cyborg powers are far more Oh-Pee than others, like Geronimo Jr who can tank hits and deliver them too. Jet Link's pretty decent too since he's pretty much able to go over some stages with his flying if you know how to do it right.
