HostilePancakes, The Millennial Warrior Eehh, lanius theme kinda overrated. Colony ship Is cool. First part is ok, but when you get to the part with milky way incorporated into it it sounds nostalgic.

I would absolutely adore a version of this song with the last third extended. Well done Ben Prunty, not many songs of this genre do so much as catch my interest - but your songs have excelled in making my ears bleed from listening to them too much.
I hate how AE raped all former mods. But... I love all the mods I have SO MUCH that I don't play AE, I still play original FTL. ...Maybe by this time, the modding community has revived and made them compatible with AE? Regardless, this music is still awesome, and I wish I could experience it in-game.

Beat Normal with Engi cruiser Type B last week. My god that was intense. I love this game.
Teach me your ways! I find it hard to beat with Kestrel A on Easy, yet alone Engi B (for those unaware, the worst ship in the game, un-disputably) on Normal!

I love and hate this game. I love the setting and gameplay, but I hate that I just can't beat it!
It's normal. You're still in the training phase. How many runs have you done in total so far? It's normal for people's first ~30 runs to end in explosive death.
I think I have done 50 runs so far. I don't play it for a while after I have been crushed. I also make a few dumb mistakes.
@ZobmieRules Well, to a certain extend it's luck as well. If the RNG hates you and deals you a couple of crappy events in succession you have pretty much no option but to lose. :/
@Metaknightkirby2 In a rogue-like, there's always going to be luck. That said, I believe that FTL's luck-based elements aren't extreme enough to force a game-over. You can have bad runs, and still salvage them.
@ZobmieRules Well, I have to admit my tendency to never flee from fights and to avoid boarding because I think it's overpowered doesn't necessarily help my case, but I have been in situations where there's just no way I could've made it through. (Lots of beacons with nothing happening and thus not earning enough scrap being the most prevalent.) On a side note, it always seems to me like the dodge-chance is rigged. Like, an enemy automated scout only needs 5% dodge and 70% of your shots will miss, guaranteed. You on the other hand will still take almost every shot even with 40%. Maybe it's negative confirmation bias, iunno. That said I still love the game, having over 800 hours clocked in and gotten almost every achievement there is. <3
@ZobmieRules The hell they aren't. I've been all the way to sector 8 and get hit with some real shitty luck. Shit will shut you right down.

Agreed. My first 30 hours of gameplay were all deaths I think. The next 40 and I had beaten the game with every ship
You can say this game is luck all you want. Still doesn't change the fact that some people are so good at this game, they have to make up extra challenges on top of the hardest difficulty to even break a sweat. Like never pausing, only using certain weapons etc.
If you find and join Cicada 3301, they tell you how to beat FTL without getting lucky

Was looking forward to the new music, among other things, and expectations have been met.
Do <3 this expansion, specially the lunius theme and battle theme, nice update to the game.
Those who loved FTL are probably very happy about this edition, but all I wanted was to get more FTL music by Ben Prunty. He really helped give this game a uniquely awesome atmosphere. This is probably my favorite theme from this expansion.
Not gonna lie, my first thought was "more Ben Prunty!" followed by "more FTL!" Didn't know he had a bandcamp page until you posted it there. I wish I had gotten the soundtrack from there, rather than Steam, so I could've gotten it in .flac...
