It's a bit ironic this great piece of music was on an arcade game, I'm sure no one in an arcade could hear it over all the noise, not to mention the blaring sound effects of the game.
Not to mention that Kaiser Knuckle has such a tough AI that most people wouldn't reach Azteca in the arcades to begin with XD
I think Watanabe's one of my favorite VGM composers right now. The dude's got some great chord progressions and synth action going on in his works. Fun stuff to listen to in general. Wouldn't have found out about him probably if it weren't for you, though, SupraDarky. Thanks!

I can see how this game could be considered as "one of the crowd" of followers of Street Fighter II. The girl in the background of this image (at the far right) is designed very similarly to Chun-Li, at least in terms of her attire.
This is a really surprising theme to find in a fighting game. I love how ambient it really is.

I've looked into more of Watanabe's work since I discovered the Senko no Ronde soundtracks, and I must say he's done some really nice music. He's very good at creating full sounds thanks to the high quality of his instruments and proper mastering. This particular track is very ambient with minimal melodies, but it quickly stuck with me thanks to the variety of sounds going on. Kaiser Knuckle's a fighting game for arcades, one of many during the 90s after the release of Street Fighter II.
