Great game mechanics plus the story was pretty standard but depending on the ending things arent always what they seem which added more reason to save the world as a luchador XD

I have to be honest - I'm really disappointed with this game making it so high in your GOTY list. It shouldn't even be in the top 10, as it's pretty mediocre and filled with overused memes.

I agree completely with your opinion on this game, Supra. This is one of my Favourite Games of the Year as well! Probably in my #2 or #3 spot.
Got it on Saturday when it was on Steam-Sale, and now I know it was right that I already wanted it for so long :)
Another PC game to put on hold to play till i have a much more capable PC. I have heard pretty good things about this game. I really need to start building one soon.
Just like with Brothers, I started playing this game with the keyboard (about 2 hours) and it was more frustrating than anything, knowing I couldn't fully play around with the intended gameplay mechanics. The moment I started playing with a controller, everything clicked and I just couldn't stop. I'm not even a fan of the whole luchador setting and graphics, but the gameplay and the level design are so good the rest didn't matter. The combo system with its throwing mechanic + the switching between the living and dead world + the challenging but fair platforming sections = recipe for pure fun. It's also very good at making you feel very powerful by the end of the game, something I always appreciate in a metroidvania. Great punchy soundtrack too!
I thought it was going to be a bad game because of the many, many memes and pop culture references. In the end, I thought they were a nice touch. The gameplay is so tight and the soundtrack is perfect. This was probably my favorite game of 2013.
@xYOLOSWAG420x I really hate games that clearly trying to romance the console market, but fail there and have to retreat to PC without any effort on the port-- then they make it big here, and embrace the benefits.
