Already at 60hrs on this game :) It can be played faster, but i did do some grinding, mainly for jobs
Check out vagrant of love, that is my favorite track on the game. This music reminds me alot of Joe Hisaishi's works.
The demo is great, but I'm honestly not impressed with the music as everyone else is; the melodies are very bland and predictable...I found myself humming the melody before it played...simplicity can be nice, but I think this is too simple.

This is a spoiler. Close this now if you don't want to know. There is one thing that makes sense about the game's name: The fact it isn't a Final Fantasy game like the spiritual prequel, FF: 4hoL. The rumour is that you need to read the game' name, Flying Fairy: Bravely Default, as if it had been meant to be a FF game. Remove the FF from it, you have your real title.
I got through this game a few days ago. This game has some flaws but it is enjoyable nevertheless (at least it was for me). The soundtrack of this game is really good. I especially liked the battle themes.
Very nice tune, though I wish the melody became more complex and cheerful instead of feeling vanilla throughout (thinking of Y's seven's wonderfully energetic town theme) but it's easy on the ears. Very interested in this game and glad SE is putting out more portable games after such a great output on DS/PSP but have been slow to nonexistent on the 3DS/Vita.
I'm hit and miss on RPG soundtracks; some that others tell me are fantastic just don't click with me. This, though, hits all the right notes (pun not intended). Reminds me a little of Chrono Trigger and Tales, but stands out on its own. I like it! :)

Great game! I look forward to the launch, wanted to test this demo, but I am against this new online system put on the 3DS .... But there are many better songs that in this game, if I were to choose one it would be "That person's name is" best boss theme I've ever heard!
this is a great tune, but in my opinion some of the best from this game are the "limit break" tunes for all the characters, and also the tune "land of civil war". This game is just so good.
(Sorry, I'm going to go on a biased rant again...) The prequel to this game, The Four Heroes of Light, was a good... Concpet. It felt great for a while, and felt like it really did capture an original feel, but there were some parts that had just outright unfair difficulty, and you have to grind A TON to upgrade your weapons and armour. I haven't played it in a long time, so maybe I somehow played it wrong the first time and got stuck in a point where I had to grind, but there was so much grinding, and the game's bosses were so hard, that I couldn't even beat the game. I also have a few other problems about the game - such as the stats are really unbalanced (magic other than healing magic sucks, unless you grind for weapons that power up magic) and after a certain part (concealed for spoilers), you have to go through every dungeon you've already gone through before (without new treasure or anything different, except recoloured enemies), but, I liked where the game was going in the beginning. In the beginning of the game, it felt solid mostly, and was really fun with it's unique mechanics, it's aesthetics, and it's music. I'm curious to see how the sequel turns out.
Magic has been consistently of average but usable strength in my run. Agnés has been a dedicated mage through and through. What I think is that this game punishes too much with hidden mechanics (like, you have to fight with higher job levels if you want your attack from weapons to combo repeatedly. More job levels, bigger combos.) but it is still very balanced. At no point should any common enemy give you trouble because you're MEANT to use Silence Poison and Sleep and then get Brave charges for free against enemies. Bosses however, have way too much HP, and they shouldn't have. However by chapter 3, you can with very low effort, specially if you get Praline's asterisk, manage to have your third level special attacks hit for 9999 on at least rangers and black mages. And also by chapter 3, the enemies drop enough money to buy a bunch of Blessed/Blood shields with the money from a single dungeon, which make healing pretty much free and a character impervious to almost any non-boss source of damage absolutely irrelevant to the wielder. The fact we're discussing this makes it the best RPG Square Enix has made in a while. It's basically FF3/5, but you actually to put some effort instead of being cakewalked through the game.

Anyone tried the demo? It's on the NA eShop now. I love how it has exclusive content and some of your progress transfers to the full game, it's a great incentive to try it out and once you get the full game, you don't feel like you're wasting time playing the same part again.
I love the music in this game. It goes to show how much experience Revo has with composing for games with an anime style, since he composes a lot of music for Japanese animes. I'm glad that you went with a lesser known song. I really like this song a lot.
Hrm? You can keep progress from demo into full game? Interesting interesting... however, does this include playing physical copy? If so, I know what I'll be playing tonight.
hmmm....you might get a wrong idea from the Demo though... i've heard it only has basically fetch quests which is odd because the game itself doesn't have any.. it's not a grindquest also the storyline really is the main selling point in this game IMHO they could have just included the normal game itself for the first few areas with the storyline there..
@sora8711 You don't keep the progress you'd expect. You gain rewards for specific accomplishments, and those carry over to give you a head-start. All character levels are reset, and you start from the beginning of the game.
@Kenogu Labz Ah... I see. That's less... appealing. But interesting nonetheless.
@sora8711 As previously noted by @SupraDarky, though, it makes for a great demo, which is there simply to help you decide whether you'd like the gameplay. You get to see what the game is _like_ without having to rehash the same content. I think that's actually a big plus, because there's something about playing through all the demo content and then having to wait that's just... bland. As an FYI, the demo has its own StreetPass features, too. I'm not sure how that component carries over.
@Kenogu Labz You also get to keep any villagers you get for your town just not the town progress itself. Which with the 10 I have is a major boost.
