This reminds me alot of castlevania. I remember hearing a song that sounds alot like this game.

Actually the more I think about it, maybe it's luigi's mansion. Its slower paced but the main theme has familiar notation.
Yeah, now that I actually went and listened to it, it does sound very similar. Still, it does have a very Castevania feel to it.

It's very similar to this Batman - Return of the Joker (NES) - Stages 2-2 & 5-2 Music. Sunsoft recycling their themes ! (PS, just try 1-1 from batman.)

I have always liked NES music from Sunsoft. The composers really pushed the limits of the hardware to produce a unique sound.

The boss battle music is just as fun and intense if not moreso. I can't remember if the final boss, the spider gremlin, had his own theme. Time to replay this overlooked classic!

One of my favorite movie-based video games on the NES. The soundtrack is a high point as usual with Sunsoft games on that console. The movie was alright, but Greta was some nightmare fuel!
