I didn't work during uni (only summer jobs), and holy shit I had so much free time to play games. In my final year I had less than 10 hours per week. good times...
And not too long after this video was posted, it was announced that this game would be coming to Wii U Virtual Console. Amazing.
Ive only played one Castlevania game and it was the first one as a kid. I'm too scared to play another. =P
Pretty much the same. Now when I replay it and get to Dracula, it puts a smile on my face. Practically one of the best past times ever.

It's not difficult per se, but I just have a lot of work to do. That and I have a part-time job on the side, but like I said that will change when I am finished with school.

I really do have a lot of games to play. It's just right now, I do not have much time to be playing games since I am in college, but that will change in a few months when I will graduate.

this is one of my favorite tracks in CV4. along with the treasure room, library, jungle, and of course, simon's theme.

One of the first games I got for the SNES back in '91 and the music is still some of my all time favorite. Konami knew how to get the most sound out of the old school Nintendo consoles.
I do like the music in the Castlevania games. My favorite is easily Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night. The soundtrack in that game is epic.

Supra I'm glad you said this. When I watched my brother first defeat the room of close associates and when the music leading up to Dracula started it terrified me. I always felt silly about it. Lol
I loved this music since the day I first heard it. I feel like it's an underrated tune.
I have yet to play a Castlevania game, but I do know how great this series is known for its music. I'd probably say that this game has the best soundtrack before Michiru Yamane became the staple composer for the next 14 years until she resigned from Konami in 2008.

The soundtrack is one of my favorites ever, thanks to its mix of moody/dissonant music providing an unsettling and cinematic feel. The 3rd stage alone has 3 movements (Caves, Waterfall and Submerged City). Dracula's Theme might be my favorite final boss theme ever (#555): I'm in the hall leading up to him, the torches light up as I walk past them and the music starts playing; you reach his room and the battle starts while the music continues playing. Very effective, I was terrified as a kid.
AVGN made a really great Castlevania retrospective, and his thoughts on this game pretty much mirror mine: this is my perfect Castlevania (it's part 3 of the retrospective on YouTube). This is my #1 go-to game when I feel like playing a platformer for a short period of time, sometimes just to play a quick level. The controls are perfect and the variety in level artistic design provides a constant breath of fresh air.
