Yes but in this case the game isn't in print and the original devs aren't making money off of it anymore anyways. I have no problem pirating Playstation era and older games.
Technically it is, actually. Unless the person downloading the game owns the disc, it's considered piracy and therefore against the law. Though, no one is going to do anything if you don't own the disc. =P

Did you ever dream of making games, or ever have an idea for a game? Well, imagine yourself working your ass off making that game, and then try to sell it but instead everyone just downloads it illegally. Then you go starve in the streets. Fuck you.

I like this game, sure it has flaws and such, but it has its own charm and uniqueness. I thought the windup key thing was cool for being different than most game after all.
There's a lot of purposely overlapping mechanics, elements and themes for Final Fantasy and you can still identify them as part of the same series. Alundra 2 was a random game they just slapped the name onto. It wasn't a terrible game but highly flawed. I threw it in the trash after I beat it though haha. It was also my first exposure to the series and I almost didn't even give the amazing original game a chance because I feared it would be like this game.
I've never played the series so I don't know which one's better, but your reasoning doesn't make sense. How could a game be worse just because it has an independent story? And even if it could, wouldn't the first game have the same problem?

Yeah, I don't know why are there so much negative impressions of Alundra 2. Honestly, I find it better than a first one. And it's like super hard, puzzles can get that frustrating that I used to throw my controller out of rage hahaha, but now you can use save states...but I find it kind of cheating...but well some puzzles in Alundra 2 just deserve it hah :D

Holy shit. This game... I played this when I was young and never finished it. I forgot it until about a yaer ago when I finished it. I'd recommend it, even though Alundra 1 is nothing like it.
SupraDarky, what's your view on Watch Dogs? The Zelda: LTTP 2? I'm pumped for LTTP 2. I'm skeptical on Watch Dogs...it looks good, but so did Mass Effect 3.....lol anyway I thought I'd ask BTW, do you own 3DS? I don't...was wondering if it's worth buying?
That's just me, but I could never play this on easy. The harder they hit, the better.
It's far from perfect though, the graphics are sub-average and the floaty controls make for awkward battles (but surprisingly work well for the platforming). The default camera is too close to the character, make sure to press Select once to zoom it out! I also recommend playing on Easy, which is the equivalent of Normal in Japan. I'm playing on Normal and the normal monsters hit like a truck! Save states prevent a lot of frustration.
I played this Game as a 9 year old kid and i finished it in normal. It was hard. I was stuck like for one year in one dungeon. I played on the original Playstation
It took me until now to try this game since I heard so many negative things about it. It's true, it has absolutely nothing to do with the first game's story (A New Legend Begins indeed). But you know what? This took me completely by surprise because I find this game very good on its own. The puzzles are super interesting, the music by Tanaka is great as always, the light hearted story is filled with charming humor and the localization by Activision is solid. Full of challenging dungeons.
