This was a very unique title in the early life of the N64. Unique gameplay and it was fun using all the different vehicles. Really fitting music! Haha As soon as I heard "I hope this works!" I knew it was Blast Corps :) Thanks for the trip down memory lane Supra!
most underrated game of the N64
Blast Corps Gameplay is unique. I hope there will be a game similiar (maybe an Indie Game?) to this.
I've heard they meant to make a sequel but ultimately decided it wouldn't add anything meaningful to the game and it'd just be a cash grab basically, so they didn't do it. Rare was pretty awesome back then.
Nostalgia big time
Who owns the Blast Corps IP anyway? Nintendo or Rare? Because if it's the latter, then there's no chance of a new game being on Wii U unfortunately.

One of the most fun, challenging and unique games i've had the pleasure of growing up with. This game is truly in a league of it's own.
Once, I played this game so much that I dreamed about it. Specifically, this level, and this song. It was really creepy.

I highly enjoyed this game also. Getting the solar system levels was awesome. Driving around a dump truck on the moon was incredible There were a few frustrating missions that required some tough precision. The one where homes are built on a railroad track is the one that comes to mind. You can only destroy half from one side and had to book it to the other side to take out the other half before the bombs hit it.
That damn Dumptruck. Supposedly the most powerful, but goddamn having to drift through all those buildings.
fantastic game, but what would you expect of RareWare at that time.. ;) to get all platinum medals was so challenging, but yet rewarding. I'd love to see Retro Studios making a sequel.

Wait, Graeme Norgate did the soundtrack for this!? Wow! I loved his work in the Timesplitters games! You really should add some of those songs to the list.
He IS one of the Rare composers. Apparently he worked on games like Killer Instinct and Goldeneye with Robin Beanland.
Man, so many memories with this awesome game. Music is definitely one of the highlights. I thought that one of the Rare composers made the music (Wise, Kirkhope) but it looks like it's by someone else entirely. Never heard of him to be honest, but his work in Blast Corps is beyond awesome!
I always thought that Nuts n' Bolts' vehicle customization would've made a great sequel idea. You could upgrade and customize vehicles and robots from money earned doing the missions. This game really is one-of-a-kind and one of my favourite Rare titles.

It's too bad we don't get more games composed by Norgate, I'm especially a fan of his upbeat themes like this one. I rented this game many times, it was very challenging but I still had fun trying to go through all its missions. I'd be so happy with a new Blast Corps on the Wii U! Such a unique game, I'm surprised there haven't been any clones.
