My favorite track and stage from the game. You hear this music, hang from that flying ship and swing around to ride on top, shooting noobs as you go. Then you get dropped on a bunch of huge worms, only to get eaten by one of them. It's madness! Madness? THIS IS VIDEOGEEAAAAMS~!!!

There's an independent indie version that was made in 2007 called Hurrican. That's probably the closest you'll get to a sequel for now.

The level design is very Turrican like. They'd probably be the best guys for the job seeing how well they can pull off that kind of level design.

They are actually finally making a new game apparently. It's called Turrican Rebirth and it's 2D and you can make and share custom weapons or something! It was in some German magazine somewhere!
YES! With a soundtrack from Jake Kaufman! This series had a lot of potential, too bad it pretty much stopped at ST2.

I think I'd rather see a sequel by Black Forest Games. Even if the only connection is "they are a German developer, partly composed of people who made a classic C64 game with music by Hülsbeck". Admittedly, I have not even played Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams yet.
Ocean only published the game. It was made by Factor 5
I still own the 2 SNES Turricans. The soundtrack on the 1st game was definitely better, but there was some good music on this one as well. I particularly like the underwater stage music. The graphics on this one I felt were better and the game was much harder then the 1st.

Check the previous comment. But be it on SNES or Amiga, Chris Hülsbeck knows how to make a good soundtrack.
If you like this you should check out the soundtrack for turrican 2 on the commodore amiga, very similar style obviously, but much better quality imo.

I prefer the first Super Turrican's soundtrack, but this game also has a couple gems like this one. With the fall of Factor 5, I wonder who's got the rights for the Turrican series. I could really see a retro remake from Wayforward!
