Silent Hill has always had the most iconic Horror themes. Team Silent set an incredible tone for every single silent hill they worked on, from the visuals to Yamaoka's music. Since Silent Hill one, I have been a big fan and can only one day wish to play another horror game with this much "soul".

I've pulled samples off this track...lots of fat beats on SH3
probably not though, the only reason the original director was able to come up with the idea was because he had a horrible loss in his life at the time and he used silent hill to represent how he feels. If you tried to make another one... well, it just wouldn't have the passion like that bitter taste of sorrow and loss that that first game had.

RIP Silent Hills
I've never played any of the SIlent Hill games, I just remember my dad playing the first one when I was a kid, and I think I watch Pewdiepie play a little of it, but that's it. So, I just have a question... When in the world does this song play? <.<; It doesn't feel like it'd play in the main game setting, but I could be wrong since I am unfamiliar with the whole thing. It sounds like it's the Credits music :3 I love this song so much! It's got so much atmosphere and emotion in it :3
But regardless, the fact Troy Baker was a part of the band doing the music for this game still blows my mind, thank you for that interesting fact! I love learning about Voice Actors, and their lives and careers, so that info made me really happy :3 And I'd play the second Silent Hill just to hear his voice. XD lol Thank you for your Fun Fact, I hope to stalk more of your Youtube comments for more :3 lol

I know him as 'The other Nolan North', because they're in everything, and they can do the same style of stuff, but with a lot of variety. -Nods- Either way, not why I am responding XD If I remember correctly, Crispin Freeman did Robin... Or not, and I am wrong, either way, I'd be happy XD But he was Two-Face in Arkham City. :3 Riddler was, if I remember correctly, the guy who voiced Renji, from Bleach :3

This game has a lot of cheap deaths, kind of ruins the atmosphere at times.

The Silent Hill games still have the best story.
I've only played SH2, so I will check this out. This track in particular is amazing.
I LOVED this game. My favorite Silent Hill ever, and my favorite horror game ever. It's also the first horror game I ever played, unless you count Uninvited on the NES, which was in a different genre but still horror themed. So many people talk about how great SH2 is, but I never cared for it. I loved SH3's setting, main character, style of horror, everything.
Every time I think I've decided which VGM composer I like better, I'm reminded of how great the others are too. Yamaoka, what a guy.
I remember playing this on my trip to Mexico years ago. At night was very dark, sure there were street lights but the gap between two of them were kinda like a block away sometimes even farther. And even then there were some areas of the small town that would actually not have any at all. My fav. time that night was when I stopped at the very entrance of the town and in the far distance was 1 streetlight allalone and beyond that there was nothing butdarkness.I loved it but immediately felt fear.
I'd love if someone got the original Team Silent crew together to make a whole new horror game. I'm pretty sure it would be amazing.

Even after 10 years, I personally think this is the best surival horror game in terms of audiovisual presentation. My favorite SH soundtrack by Yamaoka and unmatched rusty visuals that still look nice today. Team Silent had such a unique and great vision of horror and fear, I'm still mad at Konami for disbanding them. There's a Silent Hill 3 making of video floating around on YouTube, if you're a fan of the series you should check it out, it's very interesting!
