It's a remix of the Boat Theme(Nintendo 64/GameCube) and Marine Song 2001(K.K. Slider's song).

The tune is from the Animal Crossing from the Gamecube one, maybe the original N64 version but I'm not sure. It's the same reasoning though, everyone's favorite kappa is taking you own a boat ride to an island and he sings a merry tune. It's a nice throwback.

Just got New Leaf, never given the AC series a real chance, but it seems good :). Just chilling in town, fishing, bug hunting etc :)

New Leaf's out on the 3DS! Wild World is by far the AC game I played the most due to its portability, so I expect to spend quite some time on New Leaf as well. This theme plays on the taxi's radio while you're heading to your town at the beginning. Playing games like Animal Crossing is always a refreshingly good and relaxing time, especially in the sea of action games.
