Contact has a really good soundtrack!
Fun fact, the composer of the Danganronpa series also made the soundtrack to this game.
This is a really obscure game that I really like the ending of this game (one of my favorites) although the gameplay was very average and kinda grindy. I wish they made the gameplay more interactive, then it would have very fun game.

I absolutely LOVED the premise, the story, and the ending (one of my favorite endings of all time), but I wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay. I didn't care for the battle system, or any of the characters outside the main plot. If a little more thought went into the gameplay, this game would be amazing. So close, yet so far...
i hated the whole point and click battle system. MMO's killed that for me.

This game was so charming; it's hard to believe Ueda had nothing to do with the Mother series.
@Theramdomguy674 Dude! Grasshopper made this game!!! Use wikipedia ;D. And Akira Ueda was the director. No Suda 51. Atlus was the publisher in NA. Just that.

I really like Suda 51's games. they all feel like he is re-inventing the wheel, but in a good way

@Theramdomguy674 Atlus published it. The game was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture. Atlus does a lot of publishing.
@MrInnocentNixon Fighting is sort of awkward. You switch between a 'passive' and 'combat' mode. You can't attack in passive but you move faster and in combat you become slower but can attack. I haven't played in a while but I think the player attacks are automated so you pretty much need to time them instead of button mash. Not horrible, but different. I can't really compare it to anything else, to be frank.

For anyone who has the Contact OST: compare "Run Cat 1" with "Run, My Dog, Run" from the Mother 3 OST. Then compare the scenes they're from. Then consider they were released a month apart—and the games' graphical styles. It's crazy! I love both games to death, FYI.
You need another Contact song on here! "Ending C" is definately one of the best songs on the soundtrack.
If you are still interested in the contact sound track, I think I will upload it later this week or next, once I get all my files togeather. It took me months to find XD I just noticed that nobody else has put it up so I think I should :)

Ay. If they'd nudged down the Level system just a bit (maybe make '50' the max level instead of 100), added one or two more islands, and threw in a bit more play with what the outfits could do it would've been absolutely stunning.
It's a good game, but it could have been SO much better !
From the same team, Grasshopper. Suda 51 was just the producer on this one, though he contributed some ideas to the production. The guy who directed the game was actually the graphics designer for Mario RPG. It's definitely different from k7 and NMH, but it's still full of cool, offbeat ideas.
How good is this game? I loved Killer 7 and No More Heroes ( from the same guy )
