ive first played in 2019 oof i just got the theme for my 3ds and now im like i love this game
played on an emu, and instantly got addiced to it. Finished it in around 3 days after playing it (almost) nonstop. My game of the year for 2019

radiant historia was my favorite game of 2011 and is actually one of my favorite games. it's one of those few cases where i literally loved everything in a game.

i saw the let´s play from hcbailly on this one and i was deeply impressed. i mean one false decision and marco just slays everyone o.O and i just love the character artworks for this game

Good soundtrack, cool battle system, but repetitive battles and boring story, that's what I feel about this game.
I absolutely love this game. Probably best jRPG that came out in last decade in my opinion.
I liked this game but it does have its flaws. I think I got too excited about all the reviewers' comparisons to Chrono Trigger and was disappointed when the time travel mechanic ended up being bouncing linearly between the two timelines. It also sucked if you wanted to visit a certain point and had to endure the same cutscenes and sometimes boss fights over again to complete a minor sidequest. If found a lot of the characters to be boring, but absolutely loved the battle system.
Yeah, it's an incredible DS game and (imo) a solid RPG all-around. Battles do get a little too easy by the end, though, and Eruca/Aht just TEAR UP everything. Rosch and Gafka are fun but need leveling help... The Alistel theme (Mechanical Kingdom) might just be my favorite track in any game ever.
Oh the music in this game is just beautiful. I don't think I've ever heard this song in its entirety, uninterrupted by getting into battles. This song is so fitting, too.

Looks like I might have to clarify that I still really like this game! It's probably my favorite original jRPG on the DS. The flaws I'm talking about are mostly related to the gameplay (battles and the time travel mechanic).

I really want to play this but it fell into a category for me of "Too complex for me to give handheld attention". See, I feel a handheld game should be for pick up and play style gameplay, not to be thought of as much since it's on the go. But then you get games like this, or Kid Icarus Uprising and I feel as though the effort is so much more than your average handheld, I need to really sit down and focus on it like a console game. It's a case where the game may be too good for it's system.
I should have gotten this game when they did the second print of it.
Good to see some music from this game. I would like to know of the flaws in the game though... It was my personal game of the year for 2012 with Symphony of the Night. (I know these weren't made in 2012, but that's when I first played them.) This is probably my least favourite of the town themes (Alistel, Cygnus, Granorg), but I like it nonetheless.
Wow you can instantly recognise shimomura's touch here, especially the waltzing part! And I was amazed how beautifull the sound quality of this game was! I still saw my ds as a gba with touchscreen untill I heard this!

Getting full completion gives you the true ending, which is so much more fleshed out. The true ending actually completely changes the antagonist of the game. It's really quite an amazing shift that had me love the game even more. Also, this track is my absolute favorites in the entire game. One of the best tracks I've heard in the past decade.
This song is just magic...the key changes are just breathtaking; perfectly epitomizes a mysterious yet tranquil forest.
I'm 10 hours into the game, and I love it. I've been trying to find the theme that plays when you first see Aht, but for some reason, I just can't find it on Youtube... Also, I was pretty shocked when one of the Sidequests I took led to a decision where one of the main characters die when you choose wrong. xD
I think I'm nearing the end of the game but I want to make sure I do all the sidequests before since they're actually interesting and I have a feeling completing some of them will have an actual impact on the main storyline. I think it's a great game but there are some flaws that prevent it from being in the "amazing" territory, I'll finish the game before I give my final thoughts on it though. The music by Shimomura is awesome, I think she's at her best when working on new IPs.
