I like the theme from the second one when entering the password a lot better, they're the same, but I guess I'm kind of biased.
So much intense memories. I will always love you, Golden Sun.
The problem with that is that the creators don't even want to do a sequel. They said that if the fans want it then they'll try, but it seems they think making rpgs is too stressful or something. I feel like the quality wouldn't be there anyway when a creator doesn't have a passion for making a game anymore.
@SupraDarky . Have you ever played Golden Sun for the GBA. It was much better and one of my favorite handheld games of all time.
I really didn't like this game when I played it at launch, but looking back I would give it a B-. It's not a bad game, just very disappointing after the brilliance of the first two. My biggest gripe with the game was how much they talked about the old cast. I was waiting to meet Ivan and Piers the entire game and it never happened! I also think the playable character count was a bit too high. Each character never got the time s/he deserved.
It's a main resource of their money though
I played the game with a djinn guide and i still missed a friggin summon! the rest was so easy i was thinking they were still introducing me to a lot of stuff and the real game would start any minute!
Oh, and the biggest flaw of the game...Camelot, stop making points of no return XD
When I finished the half game Dark Dawn is, I just hoped it would have included a hard mode (the only really hard battle in the game is the final boss, if optional bosses aren't counted and if you are lvl 46 it's no problem really, thx pure wish), cool antagonists (except their battle theme which I like actually) and maybe a battle arena with the wifi connection...that would have been nice.
I still enjoyed playing GS:DD despite its flaws. I just hope the next GS will be better. :)
The first two were amazing. I was a little let down by the third one. (what is with the animal people towns?) I liked it because it could feel human, but the way GS:DD went I just couldn't finish it all. I got so close to the end too. The sentiments of the third game were melancholy, I think if they do a fourth one, it wont be for awhile.
My favourite game trilogy ever! :D I would so dearly love a fourth game. Please let us have one!
The beginning of this game is abhorrent, but I just love this series.
yeah dullahan was one tough son of a bitch, but really easy to beat if you know how to use your summons properly, the game ended on a cliffhanger, so who knows, there might be a sequel on the works
Play the second one too.. imo the best in the series and one of my favourite games of all time.
I really need to play that game, which I need to do right after I finish the first one.
Loved this, but like Golden Sun 1, it felt like a prelude to the real events. Golden Sun 2 remains to this day one of my absolute favourite games of all time. It's pretty much just Okami I regard higher. Awesome series. I want more. But a HD remake would be sweet too...

I love the series. However, this game just made me mad. Too many "can't go back" moments, too many useless and pointless characters (this guy just sneezed, he joins the party!) and was pretty easy.
I miss the older art style but the rest was what I expected, more or less.
While I sort-of like this series, there are some major flaws. Namely, there is too many cutscenes and almost nothing but talk happens in them. It feels like a Metal Gear Solid game only we don't get to see Snake be a badass from time to time. Also, as others have stated, most of the battles in the series is too easy. In DD, I really dislike the point of no returns, with the possibility of missing Summons/Djinni permanently if you weren't diligent enough along the way.
I don't think I'm gonna get the game because of the easy part... But if I do, I'll do a no-Djinn run on it to make it more challenging. Speaking about Golden Sun, I think I'm halfway through GS:TLA! :D
Overall pretty easy battle-wise besides the final boss and super boss. The environments and puzzles were great though, and I really liked that each Djinni looked different.
The series' recurring main theme. This is the only game I brought with me when I took a vacation last summer and with such a nice setting, I think it made me enjoy it a lot more than I normally would have. I'd have prefered a nice 2D artstyle and it's far from Sakuraba's best music. It's also way too easy, both the battles and the puzzles (except for the final optional boss who gave me a headache). Still, I fully completed this game and did everything 100% and that's usually a good sign.
