Moop Bread 6 pack was the first Sega Genesis cartridge me and my brothers owned. Loved every single game on there, even Columns was good.

I remember it like it was yesterday... Playing the Sega Genesis late at night with this being a part of the epic "6-Pak". Too many great memories.

Judging from the box art, the two characters actually seem comfortable in each others presence (super best friends).
I wasn't big on Revenge of Shinobi back in the day (except for 3), but this theme was my shit.
Ahh, brings back memories, I used to play this game all the time with my cousins and uncles, I never really beat the second level, so I got to listen to this song a lot! xD Still love this song!

I think that both versions have their merits. The cleaner samples make it sound much more Japanese.
Yuzo played this song for us at MAGFest (his first show in the U.S.) Look up Yuzo Koshiro MAGFest DJ performance.
I liked the China Town music of level 4 most. Yuzo Koshiro's music is as good as nintendo's tunes. Nights into Dreams has also great music and Panzer Dragoon, both for the best console ever - SEGA Saturn

Aww yea, loves me this tune. Had the game on a Sega CD compilation disk and played it all the time back in the day.
Glad to know that I am not the only one who notice this! Maybe Yasunori Mitsuda is a fan of Yuzo Koshiro's work, it won't be surprising.

Very good soundtrack by good ol' Koshiro. I'd advise listening to an alternate version of the soundtrack using a different Genesis sound chip that can be found on IzSwable's channel, gives the music a crisper sound that makes it even better. IzSwable's channel is a goldmine.
Yuzo Koshiro bringing some of his sweet music. I remember liking this game a lot more back then, than when I played it again on the Wii VC. The music however, is timeless. This theme even reminds me a bit of the first Castlevania (0:25). I'm a fan of his contribution to Portrait of Ruin's soundtrack for the same reason: it really sounds inspired by the NES Castlevania games, different from Yamane's style.
