This is one of my favourite tracks in video games ever and me favourite from JFG soundtrack. Before YT I would go to Water Ruins just to listen to this track.
I like this track but I feel like it features the ambient metallic noises too heavily to be suitable for casual listening
Sounds so crisp for an N64 game. This is borderline CD quality.

As much as I dreaded completing the levels with this song, this song itself always got me through them. It catches the essence of despair to perseverance :)

DOn't forget the SNES-Rare - they made also great games on that console. Starfox Adventures was nice too on the GameCube, but a bit short and easy.

This is so great for N64 sound! Rare really knew how to push the envelope.
Loved this game soooo much as a kid. Used to play it all the time, but the fact that you needed every single tribal in the game to beat it fully has lured me away from ever beating it...

I loved this game back in the day. The multiplayer was so much fun!
I'll agree the Floyd missions were some of the hardest parts of the game. I think it had something to do with the camera perspective. Floyd's mission difficulty didn't ramp properly, but the devs were getting feedback from gamers who put their day into being great at playing a hard game (and a temp like me didn't have suggestions greenlit often). An optional training course would be a nice gesture, though. Thankfully, the controls were pretty tight, which I believe to be part of Rare's pedigree.

This entry angers me. Not because of you or your tastes of course. It angers me because out of all the songs, I nearly forgotten the existence of this song completely. The fact that my mind can forget songs as amazing as this is an unsettling thing! I didn't forget the Mizar Palace song at least! That's another great one!

This game probably had the best soundtrack on the N64; it was even better than Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie, and Super Mario 64. I'm guessing SupraDarky would have a lot more songs from this game if he had played it. Water Ruins was definitely the best song in the game as well. Too bad it only played in two areas.

Ah, this game was so, so awesome back in the day. Sadly, thinking back on it, it's a game that probably didn't age especially well (I imagine the controls would take some adjusting).

Omggg, I love you supra, from the awesome status you just evolved to LEGENDARY. This game totally marked my life as my first N64 game, I hope more songs from it make it to your list. I might just plug my old N64 and go for another playthrough XD

They really nailed the dark vibe despite the cartoonish design. Well, I wrote *despite*; but really the art direction helped to add both counterweight and contrast to the rather grim tone at the same time. The style also helped to make the comic quips not feel out of place. Really good stuff. They later went *slightly* overboard with Conquer though
man we actually beat some records in Montreal of snow in one day. pretty incredible.
Oh, it is! Super cool feedback on simple weapon action. When you learn to really move around with the character it opens up to some pretty cool handgunnery.
I never had the pleasure of playing this, but it sounds awesome.
Which is terrible because this game is amazing. Probably the most underrated game I've ever played.
This was the third game I tested while working at Nintendo, very shortly after completing work on DK64 (I love Rare, so '99 was a good summer for me). Both soundtracks were great, but I preferred JFG for its more challenging single-player gameplay (DK64's multiplayer was better, though). Plenty of variety in the characters' abilities, as well as a good mix of platforming, shooting and a dash of puzzles. I'd like to see a Jet Force Gemini sequel.
This game is so awesome...., and the OST, simply beautiful. Rareware was incredibly good back in those days.

I would recommend Harvest Moon SNES or EVO Search For Eden both SNES games. They bring back memories of me as a kid.

Unfortunately because of Microsoft buying out Rare getting this on xbla is a better bet than virtual console. Nintendo would have to make a huge deal to get this on there. Then again, I'll take it anywhere someone just needs to release it.

Underrated Gem from the golden days of Rare. Loved this game back in the day.
This was one of those games where the music was, like, ahead of its time. This theme is like if it was telling you, with sounds, the story of the place.
It didn't snow here in Michigan for the entire year. Then on Christmas, I woke up and we had like 8 inches of snow on the ground. Michigan is pretty amazing when it comes to whether shifts.
And you are right its worth a play through. i suggest moving it up in your backlog ;D

We got close to 18 inches of snow today in Montreal, which is an all-time record. The storm hit a big chunk of the US as well, it's been pretty bad so I hope you're all doing okay. Anyways, Jet Force Gemini is one of the few great N64 games still in my backlog, I'll play it someday since Rareware was pretty much synonymous with awesome back then.
