One of the first games I played with family that lived far away. We had some great adventures.
Has anyone played this game recently? If you make a "burning character" (one per server per account) you level up 3 times each time you gain a level (from levels 8/10~ to level 149). This solves the boring leveling at levels 35~+ but destroys the slow and steady pacing the intro (the first 25 levels) of the game has. They changed too much around the early parts of the game now too, in addition. Some of the NPCs can't be spoken to anymore and you can just instantly start at level 8/10 already placed at the job trainer you want. It kinda destroys the adventure, but it does reflect the rest of the game. Just grindy and lack of adventure after you get a few dozens levels into the game, as the original devs are long gone and only riding on monetary goals.
Hearing this the moment you get off the boat is so humbling and exciting. The start of an adventure. You might have spent 6 months getting the 3rd job but it was all worth it. You mightve gone back to Lith Harbor maybe 3 or 4 times but this song will remain with you because its the start, its how it all began. Your journey, your grind, your Maple life. This song brings back so many fond memories.

Man, I used to tell my friends that the slimes outside Lith gave more experience than in other places just so I could have an excuse to listen to this song back when I was in middle school. Sitting here now and listening to it while writing the final essay of my college career, it really helps put things into perspective. Thanks for the good times, Maplestory.
The moment I started playing this game I took the black cab and ended up in the final dungeon. I was level 1, a friend of mine had to escort me back to the closest safe area. Good times back when I sucked at PC games :D

I think I teared up a little bit hearing this. Reminds me of my high school days back around 2007-2008. Where you would spend weeks trying to get to 70. Not a day. What happened to such a glorious game....? Right in the nostalgia, though. Loved this game way back when.
I remember getting a mere few percents of a level per hour was a good exp spot. I only barely got lvl 70 on my cleric. Then I went back like a year ago and got 74 in a day. This hella takes me back though.

this games got a good soundtrack, but the game itself is pretty mediocre.

I used to play Maplestory, until the day my connection to the server wasn't working anymore. I never knew why. I was considering to play it again, but I was told it's for little kids. Seriously? The website says it's aimed at people 13 and over! If people researched more, I believe, then we wouldn't have this problem.
Lilth is a good theme. For me, the area in Leafre when you get to the wyverns is the theme I like. That and Sleepywood.
Having recently given maplestory another go after many years since i played it only until about level 30, the music actually took me by surprise and i enjoyed just about every track that played entering map after map. It reminds me of old jrpgs like chrono cross that brings it above every other mundane ost found in the majority of mmorpgs.

Yeah! I played quite a while ago and it took me like a month to get to lvl 30 and it seemed like a huge achievement.... Then I played recently and i hit 50 in 2 or 3 days..... so dumb

I remember when this game was not all about spending money to "get skill" and leveling about to 60 didn't take less than one week.

ahh crisp November weekend mornings in 2006 where it would take an entire day to level from 32-33. good times.
I've played MapleStory since 2007, although this is a great track there are many more. Most of my favorite tracks and nostalgia has to be in Ludibrium. Viking parties, and Grim parties with a DK (I was a Priest) were some of the best gaming moments of my life. There is a track in Temple of Time called Time Gate which isn't the theme of any hunting ground but a transport map and is one of my favorites. Keep up the good work SupraDarky!

Played this one for quite a while about 3 years ago, around the time the "Cygnus Knight" thing started. There's plenty of nostalgia in these songs for me. Highest level I got was 75 with a crusader.
This actually makes me tear up.. I met my girlfriend on Maplestory. And what turned into a game relationship, transformed into a real one. I even managed to meet her in person. Long distance hurts, but it's so worth feeling emotions like this.
Man, Maplestory.. one of my first MMOs, I think after Ragnarok Online. I knew from the start that it was silly and childish and the community is filled with 12-year old boys (which I pretty much was at the time), but it's still a great game. The areas are absolutely beautiful and the music is fantastic. You should check out the song called "Tree Dungeon" and "Sleepywood". They're both very similar, but my favorite tracks from the game. So many memories!

Maplestory is one of those games where everyone feels the sense of nostalgia after hearing its music. I've been playing since 2006 and, although the community was a lot better during the good ol' days, it's still one of the best mmo's i've ever played ;~;

I'd forgotten this game entirely. Listening to this brought back many memories. I used to play this game with a good friend of mine (who at that point, I friend-zoned pretty hard) and her sister. Needless to say I did fall in love with that girl and were together for 4 years. I've moved on, but I reckon that was one of the best relationships I've ever had. This game reminds of so so much. You've made my night! :D

When you first arrive after going through the beginner island, this is your first stop. The light-hearted music greets you as you start your adventure. This was definitely one of the best calm feeling I've felt when playing the game.
Wow, after 1219 songs on the list, 1220 was a MapleStory song. I love this song and the game. The game itself is a fun MMORPG, and the song, wonderful, peaceful, and brings lots of great memories. So glad a MapleStory music is on this wonderful list. I hope more will appear in the future. :D
I think the only reason I was able to play any Korean-style MMO is because they always have really awesome music. It makes the game seem less boring until you realize that you can just burn the music onto a CD, because once you do that you obviously don't need the game anymore....
The Music of Maplestory was probably the strong factor that kept people from wanting to kill themselves.

This song is so powerful for me, when you add nostalgia to that guitar at the beginning I just get absorbed. Way too many memories to even begin explaining my love for the OST, glad you're adding Maplestory songs to the list.

Yay, I'm glad you decided to start posting MapleStory music~ I haven't played in eons, but it has some wonderful tracks. One of my most favorites, you might like, is Ellin Forest (Note; not "ellinia," just "ellin"). If you like, too, I have a large playlist of the songs on my account, for convenience.
Ah, those were the days... This song is great. "On A Voyage" (Trip between Ludibrium and Orbis) was a personal favourite of mine; if you're willing to do another Maplestory one, check it out.
I'm not sure how long it's been since you played it, but the past year or so they seem to have been improving the gameplay, mostly by lowering the grinding needed to level up. The last time I played it, I barely needed to grind at all. They've been adding more of a story too. But yeah, they do always have nice soundtracks. Ragnorak had a really good one too.

It always amazes me how much work can go into the art and music for Asian Free-2-Play games only for them to be unbearable to actually play. Its a shame since they are often pretty and the OSTs are good. Maplestory is a good example.

Thanks for the upload, I've always found MapleStory to have one of my favorite MMO soundtracks, second only to Ragnarok Online in my own mind. Even though I hardly have time to play them anymore, those moments of just sitting in an area listening to music were the most peaceful game experiences I've had.
This music brings back memories. Lith Harbor is the first place most newbies visit when first joining MapleStory after playing the tutorial stages, so this should bring back memories for a lot of people, including myself
I've been getting a lot of requests for MapleStory music over the years. It's been one of the more popular free mmorpgs but I don't know if still has a very active community. I've never played this game so I listened to the OST, it has a pretty charming sound. This is one of the themes that stood out, I especially like the guitar and its delay. The break at 2:58 is nice and relaxing.
