Grandia 2 and 3 may have been in 3D, with better graphics, better characters, better music. But you shouldnt forget the main one that started it all. Grandia 1 will always win, because it was the first of them, as simple as that.
Interesting...I own 1 and regretfully I have never even placed it in my psone =( I played 2 before 1 so I will always see 2 as the original! Whats it like anyway? I know Ryudo is a npc in the game somewhere...
@kenryusagat Its still good if you see the second one as the original. I was just reminding that, without the first Grandia, there wouldnt have been Grandia II or Grandia III

Grandia 2 and 3 were both fun as hell, but the characters in Grandia 2 were a lot more memorable.

Grandia II is my absolute favorite RPG the story is so classic and the characters are really lovable and have great depth
I gotta admit, the synth is very cheesy in this song, and I'm not sure in a complimentary way... but that baseline is addicting.

I really love all Iwadare's compositions. From the first Grandia ( one of the best RPG ever ) to the recent Ace Attorney ( 3, Investigations 1, 2, and 5 ). I just played grandia 1 and 2, even if the 2nd isn't as good as the first, it's still an excellent game. Everyone told me not to play the others...
This game really did have a great sense of being on adventure. I didn't really like it at first but the more I played it, the more it grew on me. I have to say I miss it as well.
Xtreme sucked, but III was great but was missed because of timing and the sour taste of xtreme.
I miss this series, the first two games are some of my favorite RPGs. An awesome battle system and a nice general feeling. They have a great sense of being on adventure. Iwadare's music plays a major role as well, he has such a unique style that makes the games he works on that much better (Grandia series, Lunar series and Radiata Stories immediately come to mind).
