Jeremy Soule, the composer of this piece, is also the composer who wrote the soundtracks for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

I know it doesn't really sound like it but the first minute or so reminds me of schindler's list.

Ah GW2. Came into it with such high hopes and all I do is farm the same DEs over and over again in each zone, spamming the same attack button over and over again with it's either super easy mobs or rape your face repeatably dungeons. Least the music was nice.

Maybe a better explanation is that it is a non-subscription based MMO. It's not F2P, you have to buy the game, no subscriptions after purchase. I wished more games were like this. F2P games often have shortfalls because of their "Freemium" business model, usually along the lines of Pay for Power or Pay for Convenience lol.

I've been playing it casually, too. Level 40 mesmer and a 50+ engineer. I don't like sinking a lot of time into MMO games. I get burnt out on them easy. The thing I like about the Guild Wars games is that I can pick them up for half and hour and then leave and actually get something done. I don't have to waste hours just to gain a single level like a lot of other MMO games.

I love Jeremy Soule's comps !!! His Warhammer 40k DoW sticks to me to this day as the definitive Warhammer 40k music. When I read the Horus Heresy his music plays in my head. Fantastic!

Wow this theme is quasi-Skyrim... but I actually like it much better than any of the music in Elder Scrolls. Amazing!
Havent had time to play more GW2. Am about lvl30 Elementalist. too many good games at once. But the good thing is i can pick it up anytime i want without worring about monthly fee costs :D

I've been playing this game casually since its release. I'm a Norn Thief, currently lvl 55 or so and enjoying it. I'll never be able to play MMOs in a hardcore way as I did with World of Warcraft when I had a lot of free time but I'm okay with that. I smile whenever this theme starts playing while I'm exploring, it's probably my favorite so far. Jeremy Soule is gifted when it comes to composing those kind of peaceful adventuring themes.
