This game was really the true awakening of the Paper Mario franchise in my opinion. I'm so glad that Nintendo decided to follow in its footsteps and deliver multiple brilliant RPG-esque sequels rather than try to turn it into some kind of platforme- oh, wait...

This makes me think of Gonzales going outside to meet fans, eat hot dogs, and just chill. I love how the game had these self-contained stories in each chapter and each one played differently.

I've actually been playing through this game again for the past few days after I had gotten through the first game again. The Glitz Pit has to be one of my favortie parts of TTYD.
One of the things I love about this game is that even though it's a RPG, they added little things to make the battles exciting and engaging in their own way.

Another summer another run at trying to complete this game. My Gamecube is at my folks home and I don't see them much. Everytime I try to pickup from the previous summer I forget what I'm supposed to do. So here I am again starting from scratch. Love repeating the first two stars like an idiot haha.
I can just agree you, I like every part of the game, except the second chapter. This is just boring.
TTYD did basically everything better than the original PM, but I like the original better, simply because of the childish tone. TTYD had this too, but it was more simple goofiness than childishness. If that make any sense.

I recently played the one for the Wii, and it was a let down. Not only did it not have the turn-based action that I love, but nothing special about it, and the 3D effect was more tedious and annoying than anything. As long as this one is better or on par with the N64 version, I need to get it.

I didn't like TTYD as much as everyone else, possibly because some areas felt "re-used" to me. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's a great game, but I like the original Paper Mario more.
I rented this game years ago, and I had to return it before I finished. Just recently bought it again and I plan on finishing it this time.
If it were up to me every godamn song in the game would be on this list. This game right here IS my childhood game.

This game was so much fun, easily my favorite Mario RPG with the one on the SNES. Each chapter had its memorable moments and I loved the atmosphere inside the Glitz Pit. This game had surprisingly good ambient sound effects. Can't wait for Paper Mario 3DS, I'll replay the first Paper Mario right before it releases.
