I grew up playing the series... The setting and the story are very deep and interesting with lots of morals to tackle on. Some installments are better than. others.... 5 and 12 never got localized in English. 9 and 11 are my personal favorite.
The guy that worked on Intelligent Qube's OST worked on this!

X, where you can play anything from a wandering officer to a king, is one of my favorite games ever. Regret that they didn't keep going in that direction with the series.
That sounds a lot like Dragon Quest music. A lot.
Great series. My favourites are VII and X, mostly because you can play as an individual officer and roam the land at your will. VII has a very nice battle system, with setting up traps and ploys beforehand, but X lets you form rogue armies or just attack people/bandits/cities or interfere in battles at your liking.
You should learn, IV is really good.

Is it me, or does the box cover look like something you'd see in a movie poster? Other than that, nice music. I have RotTK IV on the Virtual Console, it had nice music, but I never really got into it... mainly because I really don't know how to play it. XP

I played RotK 8 on PS2 extensively for many years. Great music in the whole series. The series itself, 8 is different than the older titles, where 8 has more elements of role-playing. Both 8 and 10 are like that. Thanks for uploading this...if you ever get a chance, check out some of the music from 8 or 10.
A super popular series in Japan since 1985. I've never played a game from it, I'll admit it doesn't really appeal to me very much. Wikipedia calls the series' genre turn-based tactical role-playing simulation grand strategy wargames, simple enough. This track is particularly pleasant though, great melodies and instruments. Dynasty Warriors is a spinoff based on this series, by the way.
