This game was actually made with LA's engine and is kind if an unofficial prequel to it. Also the Prince makes a cameo in LA while this song plays in the background

What does the prince say when he's summoned in smash 4? In English and Japanese can you guys translate that line?
He says something like "stay back" when he appears, when he attacks you he says "I'm going to capture/defeat you" and when he leaves he says "farwell"

I'm not sure about the first one, but I think it's "hikaiorou", his attacking quote is "てうちにいたす" (teuchi ni itasu) and his leaving quote is "さらばだ" (sarabada). I forgot to mention that he also sometimes says "kaeru" and "hebi" when transforming into a frog or a snake. "kaeru" means frog and "hebi" means snake.

No, but there's a fan-made translation patch that accomplishes pretty much the same thing. You should look it up if you're interested.

I started playing this game a few days ago, and I find it extremely refreshing in the face of all these console/modern games that have been released.
One of many Easter eggs in this game. Some characters from it was reused in other Nintendo titles...but sadly this not maked this game more popular T-T

There are even more connections than that. The game engine for Link's Awakening evolved from this - hence the similar overworld and sidescrolling elements. In addition it borrowed the game's font, and even many of the sound effects.

So, on the recommendation of just about everyone here, I downloaded this one. I just finished about an hour or so ago. It was an absolute treat, with a really good translation. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who likes old Zelda games, or just Game Boy titles in general. Good times.
After you posted this I decided to pick up the rom translation. Just finished it. It shows its age but it also does some novel things for a simple gameboy game.

God, there's just something about Classic Gameboy Music. It's like.....so many composers during that time on this system....just got it right. I don't know, this and Link's Awakening's music are just so good.

I'll have to play this game eventually now that an english translation is available. I'm sure some of you recognize this theme. That's because this game is pretty much a precursor to Zelda: Link's Awakening. Richard has a cameo in LA, with a version of this theme playing. Just like LA, it has top view and side view gameplay (inside dungeons for example). The soundtrack by Totaka is extremely similar in style too. So yeah, I'm looking forward to it since LA is my favorite 2D Zelda.
