I would recommend trying to use the snes(Super Nintendo Entertainment System) version as the sounds and visuals of the Game Boy Advance version are slightly degraded. I'm not sure if phones these days can run it but, this should let you run that tricky super fx chip on a system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higan_%28emulator%29

i personally love both but think that the genesis is extremely underrated sure, you more consistently have good SNES tunes due to GEMS instrumentation on the megadrive... but the genesis can have super good tunes too, don't forget

That's why I love Nintendo. They gives every generation a chance to experience what the last one did through dirt cheap [but still] awesome retro games on their newer platforms.
Not to really burst your bubble. But young people playing old games aren't *that* unique. The majority of the people makes it appear so, but in what I've experienced, there's not so much to it. Everyone like different games and genres, young or old. I've actually seen a lot more older people playing high-rated, milked game franchises than people think kids would play. The 3DS for example. Younglings buys it and then they notices the sShop which gives you the chance to buy "retro" games.

That sucks, this generation of kids are all angry cause they play these highly stressful FPS games that are dominated by ego and trash talk. You are playing the right games to expand your personality, let me tell you. These games at least make you happy, imaginative and intuitive. Not that FPS games don't sharpen your coordination or anything, but they come at a high price (Your childhood happiness) Depending on how serious you take them. New games are turning kids into next gen douchebags.

The caves were always my favorite part of this game. That and the fat shyguys.
It's amazing because it's so fitting... While many songs can sound fitting, or make you think of an environment, this actually sounds like a cave singing. The main horn, it blares through the cave as if it were the trunk of a massive, trumpeting elephant. The airy wind instrument follow-up is the whistle of wind through the cave system, weaving as though through a colossal flute. The tinkling in the background is the singing of long-hidden crystals and the steady dripping of underground lakes.
This game is still a blast to load into the SNES.
This sounds like a great beat to sample for a rap song.

This game IS my childhood,it really looks like a kids game,but its hard and really fun to play.I remember being hooked to this game,sitting late,and playing this.Everyone in the house is sleeping,im playing this game,jumping,eating,throwing eggs,all the beautifull graphics mixed with awesome music and perfect controls gave me the chills.I had strong nostalgia while i played mario forever,because in world 3 this music plays,and the background shows night with many starts falling.

Omg, I had the wierdest dream last night. Let me tell you firsthand, it was about Mario. They wanted to go to Japan, but they ended up in Las Vegas. They were split up, and Mario found a house. Luigi found Yoshi, hugged him (i could feel Yoshi....) and they found Mario drinking a beer. Luigi had to fight a lot of minions with a sword and fight the Leader, the guy from SMB2. Yoshi helped, while mario did nothing.
