Although the plot of Shadow Hearts I + Covenant is far superior, I prefer FtNW regarding to others aspects including music. In Covenant, "The Fate", "The Past" and "Alice Theme" are very good tracks, but the dungeons and battle themes of FtNW excels.
But then there's "Battle Against The Fallen Angel" from Covenant, that's one badass battle theme

This game is easy and fun to play as long as you don't try too hard to connect it with the first two.

I don't care what people say, the FF13 series was awesome! Especially 13-2, with an epic antagonist like Caius. And I know your comment is five years old, just thought I'd agree lol Still, Shadow Hearts 2 will definitely always not just be my favorite game, but also my favorite story in general (closely followed by Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost).

2:57 and following is just awesome! Today's games havn't such music. I found it really sad to fight her. Although she said nothing during the whole game, she became one of my favourite villain.

I was dissapointed at the last boss looking like a pretty girl and a giant aztec calendar ball... compared to Suzano-O and Meta God it looked like a first boss.... when the dramatic part of the music played... I ditched the previous SH Endbosses and LADY BECAME MY FAVORITE ONE :)
I just killed a small insect to this music. Made victory all the sweeter.

@CannibalusTrollamus I just beat her again today, and for a challenge decided to do it in as few turns as possible.... or rather, giving THEM as few turns as possible. Lady got one turn as I waited for Johnny so I could take the snaps, then it began. I managed to take down the Umbral in one massive combo, took the malice dirge to the face, then killed her. So really, she only got one actual turn. Granted, my lowest level character was Frank at 60, but it was still funny.
@CannibalusTrollamus Yeah! I miss RPGS like this! I don't like how everyone wants all this real time battles in all rpgs now. They're not as fun, especially when you can't use awesome and unique battle systems like this game had. I had fun playing games where you had to plan and strategize your battles. All the new games are way too easy now compared to old rpgs. I guess people are just too lazy to get the hang of random battles and intricate, yet fun systems.
@CannibalusTrollamus She's not too hard if you keep at her stock constantly, and make sure your characters are always at least near max health. I was at level 58 the first time I beat the game, and I didn't find her too hard.

Yeah. Even on TV Tropes - TV TROPES, people - the Voluntary Transformation page (which is pretty much the point of the series) didn't have a Shadow Hearts example until I added it.

This music is successfully scary. Seriously, listening to it gives me the chills. Of course, Shadow Hearts is a horror RPG series, but this is just chilling.
This music, is just one of many great pieces not known to the general public. This masterpiece is a grand concerto!

I like the final boss theme in the first game. This rocks too. It sounds epic. FRANK. Not only does he has a great personality, but he is one of the best charaters to have in your party. Look on Youtube. He's a staple.
I wasn't too crazy about Frank...I found him to be very annoying...

It should be noted that the theme is actually named "Lady's Tears II", for anyone looking it up. And yes, it does continue off of Lady's Tears I, which is for the final cutscene before the last boss
