Meanwhile in 2020, I still listen to this. Though I like bit trip. Bit trip runner 2 and 3 just took the love of bit trip out. Sure more characters and 3d are nice, but it never actually felt like a bit trip. Flux felt like a missing piece to me the more I understood it. It actually disappoints me. The series of bit trip never gained the popularity of any other game. Really in my opinion is more deserving than sonic (which is slowly dying). But in summary: Bit trip needs more recognition for it's games for Nintendo to actually care for it. They brought Tetris back, why not this? Edit: And I don't mean another Runner game
I actually ended up buying the BIT.TRIP bundle because of this song alone. They're good games.
Fun fact: This song was made on a single Gameboy. A Gameboy has just four audio channels. This song is great. That wave channel is great. Very good.
Since a Gameboy is stereo... Does it have a total of 8 channels?
No, it doesn't. It's just 4 channels that you can pan left or right.
You should see what a SID can do with only 3 channels.
Wow, feels good listening to this while traveling... =D I came back to Bit.Trip after a year, and I still love the music. Good to see it make it on your best VGM list that you're doing! =D

im playing through the bit trip complete collection now, it comes with a soundtrack cd as well, but this track doesnt seem to be a part of it. anyway thanks for the music, and yeah bit trip is awesome.

I always see these games and know in my heart that i should buy them because I know the music will be good but for some reason I never do.
I love the Bit.Trip series, I have all the games on WiiWare. I think all of them are also available on the 3DS. The one I played the most by far is Bit.Trip Runner, they're great games when you have a couple minutes to kill, though it often ends up being longer than that. This is a nice, complex and long chiptune-inspired track. You can buy the album at the link in the description, but I found this to be the standout track, which is the only one written by Bit Shifter.
