Spot on, SupraDarky - good call. Though it does seem the mood of this one is a bit lower, it's just as mysterious. This is almost like a mix between Deus Ex (which wasn't out yet, it's actually a PC game) and DKC3, with the sweeping "granulized" (I don't know how else to refer to it) synth best heard in the 2:10 transition.
Haha, listen to anything by Tim Follin, man. Plok is a good example of this system really being pushed to its limits.

I thought first it was a song from a pc engine version of waterworld, because it's the first time I hear technically a good song on this console.
I didn't realise that the SNES was capable of such music quality, I am impressed. :)
you should listen to the film soundtrack of Waterworld.It is exceptional! I can't imagine you not taking away inspiration from James Newton Howard's work, it's virtuoso!

This sounds extremely SciFi, like right out of Blade Runner.
I tried playing the game myself, it's not worth it. You're really better off just listening to the music outside of the game.

Very deep and atmospheric ambient track by Evans. I could totally see this play while you dive underwater. It kind of reminds me of Water World from Donkey Kong Country 3 actually, with the way the drums kick in.
SupraDarky Hell yea, it gave me DKC3 vibes too! Love the original trilogy on SNES, much more than the newer ones.
