I usually hate sports games, but for some reason, Nintendo-made sports games are fucking awesome.

My first experience with this game was with the Virtual Console but that doesn't mean I had any less fun with it! 240p for the best listening experience.

I ALWAYS attacked the other players because I didnt know how to play the game with 5 years, but I had much fun on that :D

@SupraDarky The green jersey's look great! I almost always picked Canada over my home team, USA. This game is timeless, I still take it out of the closet every now and again.

the only hockey game I play every year. also: it makes a great drinking game those 12-10 matches that were only 7 minutes long? deadly.
I was just playing this game the other day. Good times! (Although it takes about 10 mins to get the cartridge seated properly XD)

Now this classic song! I'm surprised you listed it in your best VGM collection, but at the same time, it is a really good song. It just has that catchy upbeat Nintendo feel and fits perfectly with the light-hearted, cartoon action.
this is pretty involved music for a sports game.

My favorite 2 hockey games are Ice Hockey and Blades Of Steel. No other hockey games come close to these 2 classics.
I've always been a BLADES OF STEEL kinda guy, but Ice Hockey has oodles of fun to offer as well!

So many hours spent on this game as a kid. I'd always pick Canada since that's my home team, and it may be one of the reasons why green is my favorite color. For some reason, Canada has a green jersey (USA was blue). This game is also timeless, you can still have a lot of fun with it.
