My favorite song in Portrait of ruin, its the most melodic in my opinion. It screams 14th, 16th Century rennaisance to a T.
After recently playing Dragon Quest VI, I can agree with this.

@Beremor por is very fun, it's the first castlevania game that actually held my interest longer than half an hour!
@Beremor haha oh man, it's gonna be a while before you get to PoR or OoE then. i have Skyrim as well and it's pretty much the only thing i'm playing right now. i'm almost done with every faction and every dungeon in the game. but, at least you have a list of games to play that will surely keep you entertained.

@Beremor Get PoR, it's a lovely game. DoS is another great one too. OoE far surpasses both of those and I have played all three of them. Though, that's just my opinion on them. OoE > PoR > DoS
Lousy shopkeeper. Great song, otherwise. Now, Konami, would you kindly reprogram the game so that Vincent here actually reduces his prices when he's infected with the vampires' taint? After all, he did say he'd lower his prices...^_^;
Portrait of Ruin had a great soundtrack, but I didn't expect this song to get on a list like this.
Y'know I have to say, I enjoy the original DS versions of this OST much more as opposed to the arranged versions.

I love this theme when you're shopping at Vincent's place with his overpriced potions. One of the reasons I love it is because the synths remind me of Secret of the Stars, a pretty terrible snes RPG I have fond memories of. I went through that game with my brother when I was 10 years old, we rented it before going to our grandparents' house for 2 weeks, far from any big cities, during winter. We'd play in the snow all day then come back inside and play it while warming up.
