+fafillionaire I have to disagree. I think it's great. The way it progressively develops, the way the background becomes the main melody and a bridge to the next part, the way it sounds like a rock solo in some parts, the way it accurately gives me imagery of jungles (which is where the game takes place, I assume), and so on. Also, it just sounds rad.

Everytime I hear one of his songs I get more and more convinced that Gonzalez is the best chiptune musician ever... I just can't get enough of his songs!

Your music is really good bro. Did you only do work on the GBC Turok ports? Or did you do work for other games?
@MetalModelMF - He worked for almost all of the infogrames games. Check the wikipedia page about him, it's got a list of all the games he worked on

Mace Stampede Follin and Gonzalez have about the same skill at being a god at chiptune composition. if they had worked together on any masterpiece of 8-bit game, it would have easily been the best 8-bit game in history
They do have similar aspects to their style. I am finding that Follin's songs tend to have a more aggressive rock style though. Gonzalez uses a lot of similar effects and melodic runs, but his styles have more of a folky or ethnic feel.
Didn't know of Alberto Gonzalez before introducing myself into the great world of Supradarky's lists. Now I'm completely addicted to AG's work as a composer. So proud of being Spanish now :)
Oh man, that beat. The composer show an absolutely excellent control of the tempo and rhythm in this tune, making it a real pleasure to listen to.

@SupraDarky I too hold Turok in high regard. It was the first game for N64 I ever got and the music is still amazing to me. I even still remember The Big Cheat by heart: NTHGTHDGDCRTDTRK.

@ILLRICARDO I seen "Turok 2" in the title and was pumped for a track from the N64 version, but this GB track was a pleasant surprise.

Sounds very Follins-esque
While the handled Turok games stood into the 2D plataformer perspective, the juggernauts made for the home consoles were the 3D FPS environment perspective. I played and enjoyed every single one of them, heck, even Evolution is still a beloved game for me. I still have to read the comics, the books and watch the animated movie of "Son of Stone" though. For a 57 year old franchise, it sure made a lot of impressive work. Now, it only needs to be resurrected PROPERLY in these times.

they should make a new turok for the wii u or the 3ds but make it like the n64 ones with online not like that crap you put on xbox 360
The only Turok games I played are the first two on the N64 and I loved them. The first Turok game will always be my favorite, I have a special spot for it. I had tons of fun with it as a kid, especially with the funny ingame cheats. The atmosphere was something else too. This Gameboy version had great music by Gonzalez but the game itself was a 2D platformer so that's not really what I was looking for in a Turok game.
