Ah yes, I remember the dubstep/orchestral filled soundtrack of Super Mario 3D Land. Good times.
its because game devs and publishers rather just hire out some symphonic orchestra or dubstep kiddie to do music for their game instead of someone that produces amazing game music. If Follin still does music, he should really look into starting a band or getting into the chiptune scene, he would rock it.
I hope one day I can hire Tim Follin to make music for one of my games..

What an Epic Theme, Tim Follin really push the limits of the Genesis soundchip, just imagine if Tim Follin finished the whole soundtrack for this game. Just the theme song leaves eveyone amazed!!!
Number 1 reason this version of the game wasn't released: Sega's warranty didn't cover your Genesis exploding into flames because of an awesome Tim Follin soundtrack.

Songs like this deserve to be released on the games they were meant for. Such a shame gems like this never can reach a wider market.

The Genesis version of this game was never released and it was the only one that featured music made by Tim Follin. He quit making videogame music about 5 years ago because the irregular work didn't provide a substantial income. Which is really too bad, because a legend like him shouldn't have those problems. He inspired a lot of other music composers like David Wise, Richard Jacques, Jesper Kyd, etc.
