I too heard the music before playing this game. Tried it out and I couldn't get into it. Controls were just so clunky and it wasn't my cup of tea. The music however is beautiful. Nice upload! =)

I believe that Cavia's few games are worth more than Square Enix's many games...Perhaps the sales don't agree with me, but maybe it takes a wise mind to recognize quality.

The game was developed by Cavia, which are now defunct due to poor sales. :( Check out Drakengard on the ps2, also made by Cavia.

Whatever, I came can be bad overall and still have good music. Lots of people like Sonic 06's soundtrack despite hating everything else in the game.

This track takes place when: INCOMING SPOILERS LIKELY On the second (and after) playthrough(s), just before reviving Kaine from her petrified state, you delve into a text-based diary of her memories and life. Most of it speaks about her Grandma, the only person who truly accepted her at the time, and this track plays for most of the text section.

So glad I played Nier, despite the reviews and that fishing video. I think I saw a gameplay video and thought it was a breath of fresh air how quick the game was, movement speed specifically. I sort of lucked out, I had no idea the story, music and gameplay would be so good. I'd recommend it to anyone who plays this genre of games.

If you weren't talking out of your ass and had any actual worthwhile "experience" in video games at all, you wouldn't focus centrally on graphics and dismiss a game based on some mediocre reviews it got, especially when those same reviewers are acting like shit like Mass Effect 3 is a tour de force. I Really enjoy this game, the soundtrack is perfect, gameplay is not the best but is fun, and finally history OMG!!!!!!! so many plot twist one of the best in history....
And if you had actually played the game you would know that it isn't any worse than the generic rehashed CoD shit Activision pushes out every year, where the only "gameplay" that changes is which pallet swapped gun you shoot with. What makes this game stand out is the story, characters, and soundtrack that are a good deal better than reviewers give them credit for. The game is 20$ at most, go figure it out for yourself or stop trying to pretend your opinions are valid if you haven't played it.

This song is sweet and somber. I love the game, not the greatest game but it has the most amazing sound track U've heard in a long time. I wish they had paid as much detail tot he plot as they did the music this owuld of been a killer game.
This games soundtrack.... divine. Reckon you could upload the remixed (called [enhanced] on the OST I believe) version? It used to be on youtube but it was removed. No version exists at all and I check every month.

@DjShini It really is a great game. A very (very) unpolished game, mind, but there are a lot of great ideas at work. The soundtrack is pretty much my favorite soundtrack to date, and the story is brilliant. Very tragic; after beating the game, I pretty much just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up again. But yeah, HIGHLY recommended game. If you understand Japanese, I recommend Replicant over Gestalt, but both are great and worth the money.
It's like sitting ontop of a hill, watching a city slowly being engulfed by a terrible explosion from a distance. Everything happening so slowly -- such great chaos shouldn't have to be seen for even a second. Your eyes cannot retreat from the loss that had eaten a whole into this once prospering city to fill the voids of those mindless monsters that want more than this world, and it's beauty..
I saw one gameplay vid of this awhile back and forgot about it. After hearing this track and seeing the comments, I'm actually really interested to give it a shot. I get the feeling this is an incredibly dark game with tragedy written all over it...and I'm pretty drawn to that. I LOVE stories wrought with emotion :)

@SupraDarky Glad to see you finally adding Nier stuff. Probably one of my favourite OSTs. The Ultimate Weapon, The Wretched Automatons, Temple of the Drifting Sands and Repose are definitely my favourite songs on it. This particular song is great in how it's used, too. Not your average boss theme. Hope you enjoy the game as much as I did. The more you let yourself think about the game and get immersed, the better it becomes despite so-so gameplay. Definitely one of my favourite games now.

One of the most underrated game to come out last year. The flow of emotions in this game is astonishing, enveloped of course by one of the best soundtracks to come out in recent history! And finally : KAINE!!!!!!!

@MastaDamascus yes exactly.. just waaay too repetitive and too much going back and forth to the village.. the game world needs to be at least 2x bigger too, and the terrain textures could have been better. Still the music and characters are amazing in this game seriously

Still one of the best gaming OST's I've ever heard. Knowing what part this song actually plays in the game too makes it 10x better.
Pretty good game, but just letting you know, the music is the best thing about it. The gameplay is a little repetative, and feels like it could've been expanded upon, and the tutorials are annoying. (You'll see what i mean -_-) The story is very good however, but will require mutiple playthroughs to get a omniscient perspective. Overall, it's a good game that with some minor tweaks, could've been a great game.
Despite the boring parts, this game was one of my highlights in my gaming year.

As I already said, the vocal tracks in this game are made to sound like real languages. For this particular song, it's based off french. Since I understand french, it's a pretty weird feeling (you can check out #695 to hear one based off english). This song feels quite emotional. I actually bought this game not too long ago so I'm looking forward to playing it. Temple of Drifting Sands is probably my favorite track.
