Am I the only one who found out about these games via this title and literally can't go back to any of the games before this one really? I've played 1, 2 and 3 and they just aren't as good. Was this game such a huge departure from the standard Ys or was it just some kind of perfection of the formula? All I know is this is game is great and I need to play it again.

+XularusXIII They have YS: Origins and YS: Oath in Felghana for Steam, I'd start with those and move on from there. They also have YS books I + II Available on steam but those are a bit different than the rest, I still enjoyed them (a lot more than I thought i was going to) but I would still suggest the others first. I've heard they're working on bringing Ark of Napishtim to PC via Steam but I haven't seen a confirmation on that yet.

First Ys played. Awesome game
I played this game a little bit. What I got from it was fun gameplay, great music, average graphics and terrible english voice acting. I hope to play this series one day.

This is one of my favorite games on the PSP system. The music makes me want to play it over and over again.

I love this game! Swords, Islands, Magic. It's almost like a 3D version of Link to the past. ^^
